Threads would not start. Even after using a tap on the water heater to clean it up. Had to put the old one back in. No way to return it…..

Used in my RV easy to install.

Insulation was easy do not use the thred tape the threads are taperd and u want it to bond to the tank

My stock anode rod was toast after one year, so it was time to purchase some replacements. I chose this version due to better pricing than the more recognizable brand. There is some debate whether one brand is better than the others. My take on it is as long as it works, I will take the less expensive model. Great touch to include teflon tape. A few wraps around the threads and no leaks under pressure. I recommend giving these anode rods a try. Definitely check the condition of the rod at least two or three times a year and replace if necessary. This fit a Suburban six gallon water heater with no issues.
