> 3 dayI love the colors of this is display. Refresh rate is great. Cons: cant have free sync or nvidias adaptive sync and HDR enabled at the same time or it washes out colors really bad. Also free sync on this monitor doesnt keep the refresh at 165hz. It will turn the screen black and lower refresh while playing games gets pretty annoying. Edit: after reading through some others reviews I discovered that there is a way to get free sync and HDR working together without the screen blanking out. You have to download the program CRU custom resolution utility and change rhe free sync range from 48-165 to 50-165 and the monitor functions will work as expected.

> 3 dayfirst of all, i would like to clarify that the version of this monitor i bought was the PX278, so keep that in mind, and what i say may only apply to that specific monitor. I bought this monitor for my xbox series X and it works great! i was able to get 1440p 120fps on my xbox just by turning 120fps on. i saw some reviews where people said they couldnt get 1440p 120fps on their series X/S, but i believe most of those reviews were people making the mistake of plugging the HDMI cable into the 75HZ port. on the px278, there is a 144HZ port and a 75HZ port, so make sure you plug in into the right one. Also make sure you are using the ultra high speed HDMI cable that comes with next gen consoles, without it you will only get 1080p 60fps. after that, you just have to go to xbox settings and arrange them to get the most out of your xbox. i would assume most of this applies to the PS5 aswell. Now to the quality and picture. The stand that comes with the monitor is made of sturdy metal, and it fits into the monitor very securely ( assuming you use the right size screwdriver), and the monitor itself feels very solid and sturdy. The resolution looks very impressive, especially for the price range, and the 120FPS seems to run very smoothly. The monitor may be a little bright or dark depending on how you play, but you can change the brightness in the settings. you can also change the saturation and contrast of the colors on the screen, so its very easy to change it if you dont like it. And in case anyone was wondering, i dont believe there are any colorblind settings. i was hesitant to get a 120fps monitor, because i didnt think it would really be much better than 60 fps, but you can tell the difference. you cant tell the difference between 60fps and 120 right away, but once you start playing FPS games or fortnite for a little, you will notice yourself lining up shots much better than before. so while there isnt necessarily a big visual difference between 60fps and 120fps, it still makes games feel smoother and gives you an advantage. Overall, this is a great monitor, and its great quality, i very much recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap monitor that will let you get the most out of your next gen ( or current gen ) console!

> 3 dayNot the best picture or colors out there, but definitely punches well above its weight. Great for gaming with the fast response & high refresh rate. Overall can definitely recommend at its price point!

> 3 dayThis monitor lasted over a month with no problems. Then shortly after now monitor looses all power. The external power supply still showing power going to monitor but monitor will not turn on, no red light or blue light indicating sleep mode or on/off mode. So upon further troubleshooting I found that if I unplug the external power supply for more than a minute and plug monitor back it it works for a day or two. Email company april 10th, here it is april 23rd still no word. I was waiting patiently before I wrote a 1 star review, because must companys make things right, especially when its still under warranty, I guess Pixio isnt one of those companys. Update: Company reached out and fixed the problem. Turns out it was the external power supply.

Greater than one weekGoing from 1080p 144hz to 1440p 165hz was definitely noticeable. FOR THE BETTER. I know average joe reviews help me throughout the buying process, so I hope this helps some of you out there make a decision on whether or not this monitor is for you! I’ve had the same AOC G2590FX for about 1.5yrs. Been a great monitor, but I started to have considerable difficulty recognizing objects at distance (specifically Warzone). Decided it was time to jump up to 1440p for the pixel density and clarity. I am beyond impressed. Although the PX277 Prime isn’t the cheapest 1440p monitor out there, the current price, performance, and features set it apart from the rest for me. I was looking for a Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD, but all three of my orders fell through. Then wanted the PX7 Prime but couldn’t get that in stock within my desired timeline. Soooo long story short I initially selected the PX277 Prime simply because it was the best monitor (based off advertised stats) that I could find available. Initial impressions: color out of the box was too warm, bit under saturated, and not bright enough. I made some simple tweaks and immediately had it exactly where I wanted it. (My settings are in the associated pics). All colors seem true, blacks and gray areas appear very uniform, and refresh rate/input response are more than adequate for FPS. I don’t have any hardware that will provide official results, but my average gamer eyes (Warzone and MW multiplayer exclusively) are beyond pleased. I have no difference in reaction time/ performance than I had while playing at 1080p. If anything, my awareness is enhanced due to the clarity and fidelity of textures as well as my ability to see farther/identify objects at distance. If you’re on a budget, this is a great option. Can’t say it’s the best because I haven’t tried any other 1440p monitors, but based off available reviews online for comparable monitors in this price range The PX277 Prime’s performance is top notch based off my experience.
