> 3 dayAwesome chainring, used it to convert to 1x on my Kona. Only thing is I wish I could get it in purple. Would buy again for sure

> 3 dayconverted from 3 x 9 to 1 x 11. Until I converted the front chainring from the original Shimano, was having all sorts of issues with chain derail. Once I converted to the Race Face chainring ZERO issues. Every time a grabbed a gear, I got it. No skips, no missed shifts, much quieter. Make sure you place chainring in the center location (if converting from 3x) so its centered on the rear cog. I now have 38T front chainring after converting by 2006 Specialized Epic Comp to 11 spd rear cog (40 x 11) (26 inch wheels). Works well for Michigan MTB riding.

> 3 dayI have used 32t narrow wide in 1x10 29er without any problems for a while. 32-34t is good for 26 and 30-32t for 29.

Greater than one weekThis gear is made of a high quality aluminum and precisely machined. The narrow wide tooth pattern seems to work for holding the chain on my drivetrain, my chain has not dropped since I have changed to this gear. I do mostly downhill single track and have put this chain ring through its paces. It fit perfectly, performed perfectly. Raceface always delivers. I hope this review helped you in your shopping decisions, if it was helpful please vote that it was. Thank you!

> 3 dayI had this ring on my bike in a fixed gear application for about 8 months or so before it exploded on me. In retrospect, using it in this capacity was probably not too bright; it is really lightweight and seems to be intended for a 1x setup in which there would be less torque applied. When it failed on me, I was applying back pressure on my pedals to slow my descent down a steep hill. The drivetrain creaked and squeaked, and then the chain ring literally blew into pieces. Im giving it three stars because it seemed really well engineered and performed well under intense pressure right up until it failed catastrophically. I imagine that most people would want this for a 1x drivetrain, and I think it would be perfect in that application. However, Race Face should make it more explicitly clear that it isnt suitable for fixed gear-level torque. I now use a heavier stainless steel chain ring and feel much more confident about it.

> 3 dayI love this ring. I use a Sram X0 Type 2 rear derailleur with no chain guide in the front and It works great. I have not dropped a chain at all with this chain ring. My drive train is nice and quiet. I would buy it again.

> 3 dayWorks perfectly - my chain never drops, regardless of terrain.

> 3 dayIt broke after about 2 months of riding (less than 100 miles). I was climbing a packed dirt trail and it catastrophically failed. It was on a Race Face crankset which seems to be fine.

Greater than one weekDue to the time of year and weather I have only been able to ride once since I had it installed. No chain drops and flawless shifting. It was on some pretty bumpy terrain in less than desirable conditions - 16 degrees with lots of snow on the trail. Its paired with a type 2 derailleur (Shadow Plus) which I think you need if not running a chain guide. Was able to ditch my front shifter and derailleur.

> 3 dayI love the narrow/wide setup. I run this with a clutch derailleur and have only dropped the chain once in the first hundred miles or so.
