RaceFace 104mm Single Chain Ring

> 3 dayLove it! I went from a 2x10 to a 1x. I replaced my two front (24/38) with this 30T NW. I have an 11/36 in back and all seems well for 90% of what I ride. I ride in the Pacific NW Washington. So its a lot of trail single track, mountain climbs and of course DESCENTS! I will struggle a little more than before on the steepest climbs, but I get so much more in return. No more front derailleur or shifter. I made room for my dropper post lever. Now the controls are more simple. I coupled this RF NW with a rear clutch derailleur and now my chain is not gonna come off any more!!!! I used to drop chains on every ride and slap my chain stay constantly... NOT ANYMORE! To make this even better, the LIME GREEN matches my bike too! When my rear cassette needs to be changed, I will go to something around 40T for a granny low. Then, I think this will be perfect... Installation was easy too. I coupled the RF NW with my Shimano Deore Hollowtech cranks and its like they were made for each other! I used my OEM hex bolts to drive directly into this chain ring. No need to buy shims or shorter screws if you have the right crankset... You dont even need to use the female side of the OEM bolts. The male side threads directly into the chainring.

> 3 daykeeps my chain on without any special devices mounted around my chainring. the colors are cool and add that little bit of bling my bike needed. will buy it again if I convert another bike to a single up front.

> 3 daySuper easy install. Everything fit exactly as expected for a proper brand, no grinding away to get things to fit like with some of the knock-offs. Running it on my converted old mountain bike that is now a commuter. Have been running 1x7 for awhile but despite a chain guide was still struggling with dropped chains due to crappy 7 speed derailleurs and trying to get away with using a standard middle ring that still had shifting ramps. Things were super smooth on the first ride and it appears to have a decent tension on the chain despite it being a much larger 7 spd than the 9-11 its designed for. No issues on the first ride after a week of dropping a chain virtually every day. So I would say its working well so far. It may not be as effective on the larger chains but it appears to help.

> 3 dayGreat chainring. Super sturdy. Machining is top notch. The green looks awesome on my bike! I got the 32 tooth for a 11-36 drive train.
