UPDATE 2: I bought a second one. Perfect for hauling lots of gear across a wide beach. Also good for traveling, as a pack/suitcase for large items. UPDATE: Im in the 2nd year with this bag now. It is holding up very well. I seriously overload this bag, and the shoulder/backpack straps show no sign of ripping or failing, etc. For the beach, it holds four large folding beach chairs, large umbrella, fishing net and two small shovels. amazing. end edit. This duffle bag is pretty awesome. It is exactly what I needed. I wanted a big bag for the beach, to carry two beach chairs, umbrella and maybe something else. It swallows all that stuff up perfectly. Best thing is that it has adjustable and padded backpack shoulder straps. It is very thick old fashioned heavy duty canvas, which is fine. Someone else mentioned that it didnt have a drawstring or any way to close the top, but it has a great system where you put the post up through the other holes and then the clip on a strap clips it all closed. It is obvious how that works once you have it and look at the photo provided here for the item. I anticipate using this bag when I next travel and need to bring bulky items. It is awesome.

I use this once a week for my laundry. I can fit 3 loads of clothes in it. Very comfortable to carry. Very G.I.Joe like. I would buy again.

...but without the smell. Its as marginally comfortable as I remember too. I use it for carrying groceries up to my apartment in one trip.

Greatest duffle bag Ive owned. Large, durrable, and easy to wear. Perfect for storage and road trips. Ive used it for my monthly military drills and it holds my ACU uniform, towel, extra clothes, boots, tennis shoes, and my school book. Very very happy that I ordered this. Excellent, heavy duty. Canvas is very strong and I can safely hold at least 40 lb. of gear in here. However, the closure is not very secure. Its simply a few flaps of canvas bound together by one clip.

The double shoulder straps really increase the distance you can carry it practically. Like some of the other reviewers, I use it to carry my laundry to the laundromat. I carry it about a mile without it bothering me; obviously if you were going much further than that, youd want a backpack with a suspension system.
