Frequenting the beach, I usually leave my place solo and meet up with everyone down there. Im the type that has to bring eh-va-re-thing as far as games is concerned, so this mean on top of the typical beach chair and cooler, Im toting as much as I can carry between a football, volley, frisbee, bocce ball set, kan jam, and well you get the idea. This friggin beast carries it ALL (and seems to have enough room left to smuggle a small human being). In carrying all this gear at a given time, I tore through 2.5 other bags that were big but paper thin. The tensile strength of the material used for this bag seems like it will hold a good 50+ lbs, but havent quite tested it beyond the items listed above. Also, good for a potato sack race should the occasion arise.

It’s not as green as the real army sacks, seems like the same size quality and smell though.

Ive yet to be disappointed by a Rothco product. This one is going on a long trip with me. Right out of the box, this thing is rugged, sturdy, and looks the part. More to come...

It not only reminds me of when I served in the US Navy, but it works Identically. Tough and stable, it will carry what you have to travel with. Too bad it won’t fit under the seat or in the overhead.

I needed to buy 2 duffle bags for an upcoming trip. My first choice was an Army surplus bag, I could only find one new one. The second bag I bought, was a Rothco one They arrived the same day. Surprise, surprise, the Rothco bag is much better than the Army surplus. It is heavier material & all around tougher. I am very pleased with it. Had I known before, I would have gotten 2 of the Rothco bags.

Great bag. Heavy Duty. The straps could be a little more durable. I have stitching ripping, but I am putting my SCA armor in this and its a heavy load. Arrived on time and packaged well. If the straps ever rip, Id buy another.

Ive used military duffle bags for over 40 years and have found them the most dependable and economical. They take the greatest poundage without rupturing and better than any other duffle bags available today. I highly recommend this reliable method of packing or shopping. Sincerely, David M.

This company makes solid stuff, this bag is no exception. Its heavy, heavy duty canvas and it feels like a quality product in your hands. I own two of these and will likely buy a third, all are tough as nails and I highly recommend these for anyone looking for a quality duffle bag. Excellent for doing laundry or bringing camping!

...but without the smell. Its as marginally comfortable as I remember too. I use it for carrying groceries up to my apartment in one trip.

UPDATE 2: I bought a second one. Perfect for hauling lots of gear across a wide beach. Also good for traveling, as a pack/suitcase for large items. UPDATE: Im in the 2nd year with this bag now. It is holding up very well. I seriously overload this bag, and the shoulder/backpack straps show no sign of ripping or failing, etc. For the beach, it holds four large folding beach chairs, large umbrella, fishing net and two small shovels. amazing. end edit. This duffle bag is pretty awesome. It is exactly what I needed. I wanted a big bag for the beach, to carry two beach chairs, umbrella and maybe something else. It swallows all that stuff up perfectly. Best thing is that it has adjustable and padded backpack shoulder straps. It is very thick old fashioned heavy duty canvas, which is fine. Someone else mentioned that it didnt have a drawstring or any way to close the top, but it has a great system where you put the post up through the other holes and then the clip on a strap clips it all closed. It is obvious how that works once you have it and look at the photo provided here for the item. I anticipate using this bag when I next travel and need to bring bulky items. It is awesome.
