> 3 dayDidnt know about mine until a neighbor told me. Well lets just say only thing left was the threaded part and inside was a tiny rod so yes replace or at least check every 6 months

> 3 daySo part of the description is Extends the life of your water heater by corroding itself so your water heater tank doesnt and after one season this thing is definitely corroding. The old anode had been in there for at least +15 years and looked about like you would expect it to. This one has corroded mostly near the thread end enough to make me worry it will break off and drop into the tank if I tried to make it another season. But can I really complain about replacing a part that only costs $13 each season? It fit perfectly for my Fleetwood Niagra pop up.
