Great Samsung product as usual!

This was an replacement for a much smaller MS Windows system drive for a desktop. The cloning software worked great and I swapped out the old SSD in a few minutes. Product didnt include the cable for the cloning steps which would have been a nice bonus.

Assuming you’ve done your homework, you know that this is the fastest SATA III drive available. If you want faster, you’ll need to change the form factor to NVME, likely M2. I mention it just so you know this isn’t the height of speed, but it’s the height for a SATA III interface and at that it excels. The price has dropped considerably since it’s release and the 2TB model was the highest capacity available when I purchased this. There is now a 4 TB model, but I haven’t tried it. All of my computers have this drive now. I’ve even upgraded the 1TB drives to this. All my laptops have a 2TB M.2 NVME startup drive and one of these for storage. That makes for terrific speed, low power usage, no heat and 4TB on a laptop. You can’t go wrong if you need a SATA III drive, fast and long lived (if you don’t know SSDs are life limited, but it’s a very long time). This gets my highest recommendation. I took off one star for gaming because you simply can’t get too fast for gaming and an M2.NVME drive is sufficiently faster to warrant buying one for gaming.

Was running out of space on system drive since I dint want to go through the hassle of retargeting certain programs to store files in other locations (these programs have legacy installers for third party add-ons or products that always screw up otherwise). Just used HD Clone, cloned my system drive... detached original drive... rebooted... and it has worked exactly the same as before. No hassle. Have moved from 1TB to 2TB and now 4TB Samsung SSD over the years. All have been solid and pain-free products.

Very simple to install. So much faster than the original drive. Never going back.

Easy to transfer the contents of the previous hard-drive (with the adapter, separate purchase and essential). Highly recommended.

small and fast

Used this to upgrade the hard drive in my PS4 Pro. Big difference in load times, everything probably loads in half the time. Love the extra space for game saves, etc. too. Would definitely recommend.
