My Laptop had an NVMe OS drive and a HDD hard drive,, which was an oversight on my part when buying it, so I just dropped the extra money and got this to replace the HDD and the difference is night and day.

Have bought numerous Samsung SSDs, always loved them. This one I was disappointed on though as it was an open box returned drive. The seals on the Amazon shipping box were fine but the Samsung SSD box seal was broken as was the booklet seal (see pics). Also the derive was partitioned!!! The speed isnt quite up to par like the others I have bought so Im guessing thats why it was returned. But its going on a SATA 2 system for a friend so out wont be able to run at full capacity. Just really annoyed at paying for a new item and not really getting one.....

These 2 TB Samsung SSD drives dont last anymore, I have 1 TB versions with from years ago that has written over 600TB with 0 bad blocks, then I have the 2 TB drives that only write 5 TB and end up with hundreds of bad blocks.

Replaced regular hard drive on my laptop because the price is low enough for me to do it. It improves my Windows bootup at least 50%-60% faster. It really improves my effectiveness on using my laptop. However, make sure you have cloning software if you are replacing your current hard drive to make the transition smoothly. Acronis True Image really does the magic work for me. Highly recommend this hard drive for the price and performance value.
