Arrived yesterday. Packaging is sufficient but not impressive or costly. I know some people like exquisite packaging (Apple) but I would rather they put the money in the technology. The device itself looks elegant, smooth metal surface. It is a pity it goes on the inside because you would like to show it off, especially compared to the old drive which looks steam punk, with exposed circuits and case bulges to clear the mechanism.

Product seems to be fine, however the package had definately been openend prior to being delivered.

This drive failed within three weeks. It started saying The parameter is incorrect and that the drive needed to be formatted. It was installed in a properly cooled PC in a cool environment. I lost several family photos and videos. Not happy.

No issue! Just make sure when you push it in its slot, that it is totally secure. I didnt do that the first time so I had to re-open the hub because it wouldnt show up. No need to download software of any kind for the Mac mini. Just go to Launchpad ->Other->Disk Utilities and erase it. It will format it. (Also if you intend to use Time Machine on the ssd dont forget to partition the volumes if you want to use the SSD for files other than TM back-ups.

It works very well. When cloning your hard drive your computer will recognize it but wont pop up as a storage device automatically. You can confirm through the Disk Management its there or your software before cloning. Or to use as a storage device you can as well.

So I actually returned the product but changing review from one star to five on benefit of the doubt. Basically after return I bought another drive off the shelf at the store only to have the same problem. After looking at the problem more in depth I realized the error was on my part. Most drives you can just plug in and it works but this one didn’t even show up. Turns out I had to go to the disk manager to see the thing. From there I could initialize the drive and assign a drive letter BEFORE it would let me format the drive and use it.

The boc wasnt sealed and when I hooked ut up it had six GPT partitions, three with data on them. I went ahead and installed anyway as I had ripped the box when trying to get the SSD out. I am severly disappointed though that it was used.

It works. Bought for my PS4. No issues with warranty.

This is the third Samsung SSD drive I have purchased. My first choice every time -- I love them.
