Only problem I had with this was getting windows to recognize it. I had to migrate my old boot drive over with the software before I could get it to work.

Good read write speeds, a little high on cost per gig compared to the newer nvmes being made.

I chose this SSD for a Dell Precision 5820, and it works great. HOWEVER, Samsungs own software tools dont recognize the installed 970 EVO Plus NMVe M.2, even after switching Windows 10 from RAID to AHCI. The MIGRATION tool is useless for cloning the Operating System to an external USB Type C interface - I used AOMEI cloning tool instead, which worked great, but not free. Samsungs MAGICIAN also does not find the installed drive - again, very annoying and useless. Samsung has too many competitors in this market to be so inept.

Some open/damaged box items are straight scams Amazon never checked, but this was a good one. SN on box matched SSD and benched just fine in Magician.

Only a few drives out there beat this. 6.5X faster than my 500GB 850EVO.. Running at PCIe X4.

Rated speeds are correct. Make sure to put a heat sink on this thing.

Cheap and easy

I use it to install my games on it. Its not as fast as they tel, you but its still faster than my crucial NvmE.

Should I bought something slightly slower but twice the size. 500 GB is used up in no time. 1tb should be the minimum for your operating system drive these days.
