> 3 dayI remember when I bought my motherboard 5 years ago (Gigabyte H170 Gaming 3), I found out about M.2 slots and speed but there werent any option available. Fast forward, Im in the market to buy SSDs and I find this while looking (970 EVO Plus 1TB).

> 3 dayI bought this product because my old one failed me and this exceeds my expectations. It is super fast, great for gaming and so far no static, short circuit or whatever you call it is happening as of March 1, 2021. I bought this last August 2020 and still works perfectly. My old one that came with my unit was not samsung and it only lasted for 7 months max. Overall I love this product and I highly recommend it

> 3 dayBought the 2TB model for large media file transfer between my Macbook and PCs. Installation on a YottaMaster Thunderbolt-3 enclosure was simple and without any issue. Once plug in to the MBP, it was immediately recognized as a new external drive without any problem.

> 3 dayWe bought this drive for my dads desktop, and its slightly old (6th Gen Intel era) so its motherboard doesnt actually have a m.2 slot, however, I just ordered one for 10 bucks. Installing windows was a breeze, and happened pretty fast. For a drive thats only 60 bucks, and 1 TB, DRAM is a pretty nice plus. Its really fast, like, it loads windows under 5 seconds, and programs are only limited by how fast the cpu can load them.

> 3 dayInstalled this in a very recent HP laptop with Ryzen 4700U. I found you can get the advertised speeds only when the drive is plugged in, ie 3500ish. When its on battery it drops to 1800. I spent hours and hours trying to find out if this was some sort of power safe deal where it was killing off 2 of the PCIE lanes, it wasnt it was on X4. I bought dirt cheap NVMe WD500 drives for a couple of other laptops that dont go up to 3500, but they still get better speeds if doing a comparison on battery. End of the day, whats the point of paying for something if it only gets half of what you paid for on battery power. Theres not a huge difference between NVMe drives, theyre all about the same, i certainly wouldnt pay any sort of premium. I already didnt think highly of Samsung based on failed products in the past, but manipulating speeds like this just moved them to the do not ever buy again bucket.
