Just as previous generation nvme drives, these perform as anticipated. No complaints, Samsung quality is always high. I also see improvements in gaming performance compared to the factory drive in my laptop.

Excellent storage drive, no problems with heat or storage. Only issue was the Samsung firmware malfunction that was causing these drives to prematurely die which has since been patched.

my dell XPS 8950 came with a 1 tb disk drive, I replaced it with 1 tb Samsung 980 pro, it came with a app to move My OS to it, straight forward and easy, I put the original OS drive away in case of future problems, I can just plug it back in and I have the original OS. I immediately noticed the loading faster. so far so good, now to see how it holds up over time.

This is installed on a gaming PCIe 3.0 build so It cannot take full advantage of PCIe 4.0 but you get futureproofing for a small fee.

Used these for storage in an ESXi 7.x home lab. Identified without issue; very happy!
