I love this external SSD, I can do everything I always wanted to do in my Macbook Air 128gb. I almost thought of buying another Mac, but this SSD makes me wait a little longer.

It was so easy to set up. I received it fast and it works great.

THIS ITEM NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF AMAZON as it is NOT a Samsung drive. Many other reviewers have mentioned it and here’s my story. The port came loose on mine and I called amazon for help. They completely disowned me and said I need to talk to Samsung as they support warranty. Called Samsung and they verified that this drive is from Korea and so the warranty will not be valid in the US. I wasted days back and forth between amazon and Samsung only to give up and buy a lacie. Be very very careful with these drives. Amazon is using a 3Rd party supplier to buy these drives cheap and then sell them here. I don’t have time to sue them but I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to sell drives on a US retailer that do not have local warranties. Pray that your drive works coz neither amazon nor Samsung will take responsibility for it.

Failed on first use. I have not reached out to the seller because the return period is way past. I needed external hard drive storage for photographs. This is junk.

Blazing Fast - User Friendly

I have purchased three of these (2x500GB, 1x1TB), and while theyre finicky in general, the worst is that the 1TB unit arrived with a malformed/damaged USB port. The cable wont seat properly, and its hit or miss whether the drive will mount. As of today, it wont mount at all. I didnt realize that it was a hardware issue it until it was past the return date, so I just wanted to make future buyers aware.

Im really glad that I didnt buy a cheap hard drive. This hard drive is very fast when transferring files. I needed a hard drive for my YouTube videos, so they are big files, and my 500 gig solid state hard drive on my computer couldnt hold many at all. Transferring files to this hard drive through the USB 3.1 on my computer is as fast as the one built into my computer.
