> 3 daySo I bought this with an Asus x570i Strix to take advantage of the Gen4 m.2 speeds. For whatever reason, the Gen3 m.2 I have in the other slot is faster than this. Ive configured the motherboard properly. Its detected as the correct speeds yet it underperforms.

> 3 dayEven though Seagate has been around for awhile and a well known brand I cant say anything bad except one thing. It is advertised 7300 read and write speeds and once I installed it on my PS5 since its compatible with it. I only receive 5630 read speed on it or when I reformat get it to 6300 read speed which is far from what is being advertised and what is expected.

> 3 dayI love this drive its quiet and very fast. I have the one of the original first generation of these drives which were the Barracuda Pro drives and used it for 3 years as a media and gaming drive. Both drives are 8TB and perform amazing. The Firecuda version is slightly faster overall and I wouldnt dream of putting my library on anything else. I am absolutely 100% recommending these drives. I wish they were about 40.00 cheaper, however performance per dollar is still spot on.
