> 3 dayPaid a premium for the 2TB Firecuda 530 with heat sink that will be used for the PS5 storage upgrade. From the advertised 7300mb/s read speeds, along with the endurance/durability I knew I was getting a superior SSD product over the competitors. However, when I installed it the read speed was around 5800mb/s. I was expecting more or less the read speed to be 6500mb/s based on users experiences on review forums. I reformatted the SSD several times, and each of the reads were in the 5300-5800mb/s range. Although, i don’t think it impacts the SSD drive’s ability to run games, the really low speed readings is a cause concern for me. I am going to return it and buy the brand Mark Cerny recommends over at Sony and save some money at the same time.
