Greater than one weekMacBook Pro M2012. It was easy to pop off the back cover, disconnect the battery, pull out the old ram and replace it with the new. I upgraded from 8gb (1060 - from my old 2009MBP) to this 16gb (1600 - what my MBP12 actually needed) and I no longer feel the need to upgrade to a new one anymore. I liked the 2012 because it allows you to swap ram and hard drives but I was almost ready to give up on her. Swapped the main drive for ssd years ago, dual drive in the cd/dvd spot, didn’t even realize how much the ram I was using sucked!! Laptop works great now and I’m returning the old ram to the MBP09 that I forgot I still had!
