> 3 dayI frequently max out my ram use so I bought the upgrade and it seems to have slowed the computer down not sped it up. I dont know if its the specific units I received or they fail to live up tp industry standards. I order OEM replacements.

19-12-2024Actually for a Dell laptop needing same RAM specs. Was a little concerned with price difference compared to top tier vendors, but seems to be great value. No problems with install or running. Intended to look up the chips to see the actual vendor, but no reason to believe is not as indicated in specs. Checking their website and seeing SP is an actual vendor and has been around for several years made me feel less apprehensive than going with some of the other no name options at the same price point.

> 3 dayI was in the process of upgrading an older laptop that still has a great deal of use. Replaced the 750GB/5400RPM hard-drive with a 1TB SSD-SATA III/6Gbs Drive. Admittedly, this system is not going to take full advantage of the 6Gbs transfer rate, but the speed increase was dramatic loading Plasma/KDE in seconds, instead of the minutes it used to take. Replacing the stock 8GB with 16GB increased overall performance to like new status. One more step I could take is to reinstall the software, and optimize from there - Its a new experience with my laptop. Opening applications, streaming video, network throughput, and general system tasks dont bog down the system like they once did. Glad I bought these, would look to the company again.

> 3 dayGood buy. Used in my mid 2012 apple MacBook pro. Quick easy install took about 10 min. Only because I droppedaa screw to my case.

> 3 dayI have four Asus Vivo PCs that came with two RAM slots but only one 4GB stick installed. Theses are slow PCs by todays standards but all needed more RAM. These are small desktop PCs that use a full size HDD but laptop RAM. I decided 8GB would be enough for anything most people would use such a dated PC for. Each pack of 2 X 8GB allowed me to upgrade 4 PCs. I put one 8GB stick in the 1st one while removing the 4GB stick. I used the 4GB stick on the second slot of the next PC. And repeated the same process for the next two PCs. This RAM was so inexpensive when I was buying, I bought an extra pack for future use. If you have a PC that can use this RAM its well worth the upgrade. An older and slower PC can get by on 8GB but newer and faster PCs will be much better off with 16GB. Depending on what you use the PC for, 16GB will cover most peoples needs. The price of RAM has dropped drastically in the past few years. If you have a laptop or mini-desktop with two RAM slots having 8GB or less RAM, you will notice a difference by upgrading your RAM to the full 16GB the kit comes with.

> 3 daya very, very competitive price for reliable and reasonably fast laptop memory - upgraded 2xM4800 Precision portable workstation machines from 16gb base to 32gb and they are absolutely smoking hot given their age with this new memory - I highly recommend SP!
