> 24 hourI brought this switch back in September 2019 and it worked great with Alex I was able to use it with Alex routines so I decided to buy another set of switches to control my porch lights January 10th 2020 after installing when I went to the Smart Life app to register the devices my account was gone which I found strange so I set it up again and had to reregister my old and new switch and since I have not be able to use with Alex. The Smart Life skill doesnt work, it doesnt discover the devices and the only way you can control it is through the Smart Life app. This really sucks. So if you plan to purchase and use with Alex dont there are other reliable brands out there. [UPDATE] So the lack of instructions was my downfall this switch is great once you figure out how to get it connected to Alexa. So instead of just using the Alex skill to the switch you have to sign into your Amazon account through the Smart Life app. Once you do that it all works great.

> 24 hourI love the fact I can turn on my fan when my husband leaves for work in the morning, and then turn it off when I want to get out of bed without getting too cold. Very easy to install, very easy to set up. My only issue, and its probably just me, is that the light is a little bright, so the LED light thats in the switch itself is kind of bright.

> 24 hourIm fairly tech savvy, so setting up their app and then granting permissions in Google Home was pretty simple. It joined the network easily, tool the password the first time and the scheduling features are spot on. Did testing to make sure its not just flipping the binary (so a turn on command would turn it off if it was already on) and the ability to group the lights in Google Home and voice control mean it doesnt matter where the switch is in the house. Awesome for automating outside lights.

> 24 hourSwitch’s were nice in the beginning…. And then the problems started. They are constantly going offline… requiring me to flip breakers to get them to reset. On 4 of them the glass has come off and are falling down. Save your money get something else.

> 24 hourAfter finally figuring out how to link the switches (light and ceiling fan) to WiFi, they work great. The instructions could definitely use some improvement. I tried for about an hour to get them to connect, before getting a long cable so I could actually bring my router into the room where I was installing the switches. That did the trick. The instructions do say that the switch(es) must be in close proximity to the router and phone, but they don’t say HOW close. After installation, the router can then be returned to its original location. Also, for light and ceiling fan, if the two neutral (white) wires are simply tied together in your switch box without being connected to your current switches, you must use two of the included wire pieces to tie into both neutral ports of the new switches. After a little initial frustration, I am satisfied. They were installed only yesterday, so hopefully they will continue to last and work properly.

> 24 hourBasic electrical skills will allow you to install this with little to no effort. However, the back of the unit that goes in the wall is bulky, and makes wire management essential to get it to fit properly.

> 24 hourLove our smart switches. Technology is amazing! We bought one 2 gang. The kitchen area has two entries, yet only a light switch on one side. One switch controls the 4 bar lights, which we kept separate. The other switch controls 6 can lights. Using one of the gangs in our kitchen, we can now simply ask Alexa to turn on the kitchen when we find ourselves working in the dark. The second gang we put in the garage to control our outside lights. Now when my husband comes home in the dark, I simply ask Alexa to turn on garage lights, plus we can turn them on when were out together. Easy to install, easy to operate.

> 24 hourThese switches MUST BE WIRED EXACTLY AS THE PICTURES SHOW in the instructions. Most standard light switches are NOT wired as these require. You MUST have a white neutral, black hot in and black load wire to get them to even turn on. The instructions are very clear and as long as you can find all of the wires in the wall and add a jumper to the switch, you can complete the job. Wi-Fi requires 2.4 GHz, and does not support 5.0. Considering the amount of data sent to and from the switch and that 2.4 penetrates walls better, this is preferred. Ensure you are searching for and trying to connect to a 2.4 Ghz network. The unit has a WiFi indicator that will blink when in pairing mode. It MUST BLINK RAPIDLY TO CONNECT. However, it can also blink Quickly but will not connect. Ensure it is blinking RAPIDLY The app is very feature rich and will take some time to understand and set up but does afford a lot of control over the switch.

> 24 hourIt took about 2 hours to install which was longer than I expected, but I was able to find all the help and instructions that I needed. Connecting took many attempts but I think that was because my WiFi was on the same circuit as my switches. Some of the help sources I found instructed me to press the reset button at the bottom left of the switch but it does not exist. Once I found that I could reset by holding the button for 5 seconds, I was successful. I have to retrain myself on turning on the light switch manually. If I stop in front of the switch and carefully press the middle of the button firmly, the light will come on. If I am sloppy, it will reject me, which offends me.
