> 3 dayNow that we have these switches installed, I love them. They were easy to set up on the Smart Life App and work flawlessly with Alexa. That said, they were NOT easy to install. The switches are deep and barely fit in the electric box with the wires, wire nuts, etc. Also, the wiring that came with them was not the right type, so we had to use our own. What should have been a quick job took at least an hour. I bought two sets, but Im unable to use the second one, because it wont work with three way or four way. That mistake is on me (should have researched better), but if you have anything more than two-way, this is not the switch for you.

> 3 dayI use these for the outside lights for my Airbnb. I have them on a timer, and I can turn them on/off remotely with the app. The app allowed me to setup timers, scenes, and widgets for my Android phone. Installation in box Not knowing much of anything about electrical wiring, it took me a while to figure out how load/line/neutral all worked together. Once I figured that out, it was fairly straight forward connecting the wires to the wifi switch that is well marked. If you have all the wiring plugged in, and it still doesnt give you a blue light....switch the Load and Line wires in the wifi switch. That should power it. Wiring my second device took a lot less time. I would recommend getting someone who knows how home wiring works. Pairing with Wireless Network Here is the tricky part - The wifi switch does NOT automatically start up in pairing mode. Once you see you have a steady blue wifi logo light on the switch, you will need to press and hold the center power icon on the switch face until the blue wifi logo starts to flash. That is your cue to begin the pairing process with your wireless network through the app you downloaded from the app store. The instruction booklet tells you which app to install. You will need to be on the same 2G wireless network that you want your switch to be on. What happens if the power goes out? Will I lose all of my settings? Your switch should automatically reconnect to the wifi with no issues once power is restored. If it does not, just re-pair it to your network. Your settings will still be there. I have the wifi switch in a double-gang box with a normal switch. I was going to purchase the face plate that was designed for such an application from Amazon, but discovered that the twelve dollar price was way too steep. I opted for the Home Depot one for ninety-eight cents.

> 3 dayThis product was a little rough to install but overall loved the look and functionality. However we have only had it installed for 3 months and the button for one of the switches is falling off and will not reattach.

> 3 dayJust installed one purchased earlier for Christmas lights. Plan to use it as timer. The switch install is not that difficult if you have the basic knowledge of circuits. The original wires that come with switch look too thin to me. If you plan to use wire nuts, this could be potential safety issue, so I replaced them with common 12 gauge wires. The instructions for device pairing is really not good at all. Looks like either instructions have not been updated, or just poorly written for something else, not for the smart switch. If you have some knowledge about wifi and device pairing, you probably could figure it out through trial and error. They should really update the setup instructions, especially they seem to have quite a lot of different types of smart devices. Not having accurate instructions causes confusions and frustrations, which you can feel reading previous reviews. App UI design is good, clear to follow. A few tips. When you pair it the first time, either power cycle as per instructions, or just hold the power button long enough until you see the wifi indicator flashes. Then follow instructions on the app to complete. Process is basic the same if you want to erase and reset the switch, except you don’t need to input info in the app if you have created an account. App will find the device, and you just need to go through the setup and make necessary modifications.

Greater than one weekOrdered this to update my old analog timer switch, was looking for something I could control with my phone, Alexa, and do some home automation. This arrived on time and packaged very well. Install was easy, and pretty straightforward, connecting to the app was easy following the steps. I would give five stars but my only complaint is I had to drill out the mounting holes a bit with my Dremel to make this sit within a double gang box correctly. The holes should be a little bigger to allow more adjustment when putting in more than just a single box. If I was putting this in a single gang box it would have been fine.

> 3 day1st, bought in July 2020. I don’t recall any issues installing it, and it has been paired with my system with no issues since. 2nd, the reason for my review - it did become disconnected from my Wi-Fi and I couldn’t figure out how to reconnect it (I got rid of the directions like a fool). Reached out to tech support and got it figured out quickly. So when you pair the switch, it has two modes for pairing. If you can’t pair it with the first mode (fast blinking lights), switch the nose to the second mode (slow blinking lights). The way to activate pairing mode is turn it on - off - on - off - on. After a few seconds the light should start flashing fast. To make it go to 2nd mode, same thing. (Off since you’re starting from on) - on - off - on - off - on. 2nd mode will have the switch create a Wi-Fi network you join and then add through the app. If that makes no sense, sorry, but reach out to the company! Only negative is the blue lights on the switch don’t turn off and act as a bit of a night light at night. Other than that, this has been great.

> 3 dayI brought this switch back in September 2019 and it worked great with Alex I was able to use it with Alex routines so I decided to buy another set of switches to control my porch lights January 10th 2020 after installing when I went to the Smart Life app to register the devices my account was gone which I found strange so I set it up again and had to reregister my old and new switch and since I have not be able to use with Alex. The Smart Life skill doesnt work, it doesnt discover the devices and the only way you can control it is through the Smart Life app. This really sucks. So if you plan to purchase and use with Alex dont there are other reliable brands out there. [UPDATE] So the lack of instructions was my downfall this switch is great once you figure out how to get it connected to Alexa. So instead of just using the Alex skill to the switch you have to sign into your Amazon account through the Smart Life app. Once you do that it all works great.

> 3 dayI did not install this myself but that had nothing to do with the switch, just the way the wires in my house were set up. I had someone install for me. Works great but connecting to the wifi needed some troubleshooting. Since the switch only recognize 2.4 ghz signal, I had trouble getting it to connect since my wifi ran 2.4 and 5 ghz together. I ended up having to rename the 5ghz wifi which att helped me with. It was not difficult. By that time I had already added the Alexa skill for Smart Life. Once I could differentiate between the 2.4 and 5 signals, it was very easy getting it set up. Just connect your phone to the 2.4 wifi. Everything works great now and the lights look pretty cool. Having a push button rather than a switch is cool. So not a smooth process but now I know and anything else I add will be easier.

> 3 dayOverall this switch works great! I think the look of it is sleek and modern and fits well. Installation was pretty easy, but I do wish the screws that hold the wires in place were a little wider. Just make sure you have them holding well before trying to push the switch into the box, really not too much work. I use Google Assistant and it works like a breeze! I love these, the only knock I have with it is the clicking noise is a little louder than I anticipated. Not a big deal but its noticeable. Still updating my smart home but will definitely buy again!
