> 24 hourvery bad experience. I did everything the manual told me to do. I downloaded the application and I also followed the instructions step by step but I never managed to pair it, it does not even appear in the app.

> 24 hourI got my first Sonoff switch a few years ago. Had to wire it up myself, but it worked well. These S40s are terrific. Just plug em in. The connection is established with Bluetooth, and from then on theyre connected to the internet through the local router. Using eWeLink, you can turn things on and off in your house from anywhere in the world. Several years ago, it was disappointing that eWeLink was a phone-only application. But thats fixed. You can now have the app on your computer to control these guys as well. The S40s are dead-nuts simple to use. Once programmed, you can unplug them, and plug them in anywhere else in the house without changing anything. Its nice that theyre great, but theyre also available at bargain prices. Cheap thrill.

> 24 hourSonoff has a reputation for being very friendly to developers and home-automation enthusiasts. It is a very common practice to flash alternate hardware on these. Of course, doing so voids any sort of warranty and eliminates the possibility of sending them back, so its always done at the purchasers own risk. That being said, Ive had no problem with other Sonoff products. However, these are a disaster. I destroyed one just trying to get the screws out. They are in far tighter than could ever be necessary. Another one I destroyed by trying to solder little wires onto the pads for programming. One of the pads came off. All of these might still work with the original firmware, but they are completely useless to me that way. They require Internet connectivity to work, so what happens when my crappy satellite internet fails? I have to crawl around under tables and behind furniture to find the little buttons that I have to press just to turn things on or off. This has been a major disappointment for me. I thought Sonoff treated their customers better than this.

> 24 hourThis is a lite unit, and does not have the full functionality of the s31 switch, but has most of the price.

> 24 hourI like this alot. Right now it is plugged into my Christmas tree. Nice to tell Alexa to turn on the tree. It occasionally does come disconnected and you have to connect plug again.
