> 3 dayThe Step2 595200 MailMaster Plus Mailbox Walnut color was really nice. I love the darker brown tone of color that this mailbox offered. The only thing I had problems with was getting the bolt and nut to hold the flag tight. Seems it is easy for the mailperson to push it down farther than the indention where it is to rest. Other than that, I was very pleased!

> 3 dayBought this as a Fathers Day gift for my dad. Arrived quickly and in great shape. Instructions are very clear. Of course, my dad made me install it. Had a spare piece of pressure treated 4x4 and a quarter bag of concrete. Used the post hole diggers to dig hole to correct depth, dropped a largeish rock in the bottom to give the post some spacing, put the post in the hole and dumped a little of the concrete in the hole to cover the bottom foot of the post. Poured some water in the hole and filled the remainder with dirt. Box attaches to the post with like two screws. Took maybe 30 minutes to install total. Dads very pleased and mom likes that you can retrieve the mail from the back of the box. Overall a winner!

> 3 dayI had one of these Step 2 mailboxes for years until the city snowplow took it out. I have replaced it with another one, because they hold up so well.

> 3 dayI put up a Mailmaster plus back in October/November. Our old mailbox had been bat-thumped so many times the door wouldnt stay shut. That old mailbox gave great service, but it just could not withstand the many visits by the county boys. You know who Im talking about, the juveniles/post-juveniles who have nothing to do late at night in the middle of nowhere (TM) but drive daddys truck around burning daddys fuel so they can destroy the mailboxes of old people who cant fight back. The brave warriors of the starlit county road who do not have to rise at the cocks call because they dont have to go to work (like the old people). Well, my mailbox was found by the County Shurf three miles from my driveway, still intact. All they could do was tear off the little plastic flag and tear the box off the post. In spite of the irritation, it was a little humorous seeing all the dirt plowed up around the post. That mailbox put up a fight, I can tell you that! I reckon they put a chain through it and used their truck to rip it from the post. I suspect the flag was torn off in frustration as I found it a few yards down the road, lying in a forlorn tire track. After donning gloves, I picked it up and put it in a plastic bag. For fingerprints, yanno. (Thanks, CSI !) The deputies took the parts of the dismembered box (bagged flag and all) along with the forlorn tire track casts and said wed hear something when they caught up with em. Were not holding our breath. But! in this great new century, all I had to do was turn on the computer, run out to Amazon and order another one which arrived in a few days. Its a great box and I suspect its very beauty attracted the roving eyes of those young men (how do I know they were male? Oh, please!) Its lovely curves, its voluptuous come-hither roundness atop a graceful post no doubt was irresistible to them. Not to mention doors on both ends which allow you to place mail in the box and retrieve mail without having to stand in the actual county road to potentially be run over by a local aged county resident. So stands my new mailbox by the side of the road and is a friend to man. At least, folks think it is pretty. All the mailboxes along our road are new and shiny now, but none as lovely and serviceable as our faithful Mailmaster Plus. Thanks Amazon! A great product, a great service and a terrific mailbox.

> 3 dayIt is a replacement because of change in new siding color. Only downside was older model slipped over 4x4 post, new one attaches to post with back side open but does not come with anything to cover back side.

> 3 dayStep 2 got it right with this model! As long as you already have the 4x4 post in the ground, youll have this new mailbox up in less than 2 minutes! The unit comes in 2 separate pieces, but the top piece easily slides into place onto the bottom unit and you simply put 4 screws into pre-molded holes to attach the top of the unit to the bottom portion of the unit. Once the mailbox was in one piece I placed it against the 4x4 in the ground and used the 2 long screw in bolts to attach it to the post. Project done! Stickers are also included so you can put your address on the sides of the mailbox. The material is durable and I suspect this mailbox will last for a very long time. I also like that the unit is large and can probably fit some smaller boxed packages, which is a great plus if you dont want packages you order that are small to sit out on your porch for people to see while youre away at work. They should fit into this mailbox fairly easily, which will also protect the package from the elements. Great product at a great price! Would easily order again.

> 3 dayThis mailbox is very well put together. So it will be standing for a long time. I like the walnut color because it stands out more than others. The only issue I have is the wood still shows to the back cover.Looks tacky but well built. Happy with purchase.

> 3 dayBox is deeper than expected (a plus, looks great and is well constructed. Like that it came with numbers. Was fairly easy to install once I found a suitable 4x4 and ground spike, which added another $30 to the cost. Might give it 5 stars if it withstands the snowplow this winter.
