Ive been building high end water cooled and air cooled gaming computers since 1998. I have tried many different thermal compounds over the years (probably 15 or so in total). This is honestly the first real noticeable advance in compound technology that Ive seen since I first used diamond based thermal compound in the late 2000s. In 90% of the mounting scenarios I have encountered, the compounds I have personally had experience with are within a couple of degrees of one another. So, I usually attribute choice of thermal compound to that of the personal preference of the technician applying it. Based off previous experiences, I usually come from the frame of mind that all compounds will have some sort of pros and cons. However, in this particular instance using Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, I am finding the cons extremely hard to find.

I use this for Intel I7 8700k and Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer 240 AIO and I am sorry I remove my Arctic MX-4 to apply this... it does worst than MX-4 by ≥ 5°C. Now I need to replace this super expensive useless dirty thing from my processor with the recommended one !

Not great value, but I use it for main systems OCd cpu and find it better than most. For laptops and less demanding devices I just use the silver stuff.

Great on Laptops! Lowered temps by 12-15 degrees.

Used it to replace a DLP chip in a projection tv. And it works. No idea if its better or worse than factory but it hasnt fried the chip yet.

I would only recommend this thermal paste. Top quality.
