Just returned mine, but it is an amazing case. I would recommend to anyone. Top notch protection, and a perfect fit for my MacBook Air M2. Plenty of storage, but I needed more room. I carried my MacBook Air m2, a ti-84 calculator, a iPhone and MacBook charger, wallet, keys and glasses. They all fit very perfectly. There is a back sleeve pocket I would slide my iPad 10.2in into. It was just pushing its limits a bit because of its iPad case+Apple pencil taking up extra volume. After experiencing Tomtoc’s quality I went and ordered their 9L sling bag. I think it will suit my needs better. Price+Quality you will not find a better option.

The first thing I noticed was the durable exterior. I like the sizing of the pouches as it fits me needs. The best part is how perfectly my MacBook fits! It’s absolutely spot on. Great bag highly recommended

Quality is great, and at a much lower cost than a similar case I purchased years ago from Incase. Would definitely buy again.

Edit: Over a year later and this bag is still in the same condition. It works great, has seen plenty of use, etc. Im very pleased. Ive bumped this from 4 to 5 stars because its as advertised and beyond. OG review-- Overall, this bag came as advertised. The first thing I actually noticed was that the handle seems to be made of leather/synthetic leather, which Im not fond of. This appeared to be the best case on the market currently for the Surface Book 2, and -insert most of the rest of my review-, so Ill get over it, though. I read some reviews complaining about the side zipper... I like it. I could understand if the pull was on the side but its not, its on the top. You actually have to pull the zipper pull up around the corner to the top of the case. This, in my opinion, would be rather difficult to knock out of place so much that you somehow open it up enough to cause damage to the contents of the bag. Its a good zipper, not a cheapy one, as far as I can tell. The inside where the device goes really is only going to be ideal for device storage. Dont expect to put paperwork, cables, your left shoe, grandma, etc. in there. I have the 15 Surface Book 2 and am able to fit it snugly inside this bag with the Surface Pen attached. I wouldnt add anything else to this compartment. If you need additional space for bigger items, stop now, look for a different bag suitable for for device. More on the device compartment: Its so soft in there. Seriously, like a baby blanket. I would sleep in there if I could... Anyway, I do have some concerns about devices bring hot and tucked away in this plushy heaven, but my device is actually pretty great so I dont have this problem. It is something to keep in mind if you often carry around a pocket-sized jet engine. (Still on device compartment... Sort of?) The corners of this bag have reinforcement, which is awesome. If you drop this, it should be pretty safe... I dont recommend dropping it. I did squeeze and prod at the edges quite a bit and it all seems rather sturdy, which makes me feel comfortable putting my $2k+ device in there. Okay, now well talk about the front pockets. There are two. Neither are big enough to comfortably hold the detachable strap because of its shoulder pad. You can technically fit it diagonally into the bigger pouch but then theres really no room for anything else. I was annoyed by this, as I dont see myself using the strap as often but I like to keep things together. Aside from that, the pouches are good for everyday use for general device/carry-with-you items. The bigger pouch is good for your charger, maybe a portable drive or battery, etc. The smaller pouch has some inserts for pens and whatnot, so you can bring those items along. Theres enough room for a phone charger or other small device/cables. If you stuff these, they will push towards the device compartment of plushy goodness so Id recommend storing your device screen towards you and not the pouches. Do bear in mind that these pouches are also shorter than the case itself, albeit not by much. Now the exterior, handle aside as I covered that first... The clips for the strap are plastic. I know this bothers some people. It does seem sturdy, however. There is no luggage strap on this model. It feels durable overall but not rugged. It does appear to be water-resistant but I didnt heavily test. I like this case. If that changes, Ill be back here updating this review.

This has always been a serviceable bag. Then I drove through Tennessee. Hit a surprise drop past a railroad track and landed so hard that my trunk was popped open and bounced my laptop onto the asphalt at over 40 miles per hour. Fearing the worst I pulled it out to check right there on the shoulder. Not a scratch on the laptop and it booted just fine. Case is slightly worse for wear with a hole in one corner and some scuffing

Just got this, so I cant vouch for long-term durability, but it looks to be high quality and durable construction with more padding than one usually sees in a sleeve-type case. The shoulder strap is plain webbing which I consider a plus because it will fold up small and tight if needed, and it has a high quality strap pad which will support more weight than you can possibly fit in this bag. The strap pad snugs tightly to the strap, meaning the strap isnt going to roll or tangle under the pad and the pad will stay where you put it on the strap. All zippers are installed correctly and work easily. Pockets are well sewn. In all, an impressive bit of design and engineering that is well executed. Two bones to pick, but not taking off any stars. Not what I like, but for other folks this might be exactly what they want. 1. From the photo, I thought Id have more room in the front pockets than what is there. The pockets dont have much depth, and without gussets wont expand at all. Both front pockets have internal pockets for a pen and other small items you dont want rolling around in the main pocket, but if you put much of anything in the internal pocket, there wont be room for that bigger item you want to put in the main pocket. In the left (bigger) pocket Ive got a (Lenovo) power adapter attached to an APC PnoteProc8 surge protector (small, 600 Joules, highly recommended), AC cord in the main pocket, and a Yoga mouse (very thin) in the internal pocket. In the right pocket Ive got an SD card reader, thumb drive, USB-C to USB-A adapter, and a pen in the internal pocket plus a business card wallet and phone charging cable in the main pocket. On the one hand, that is a full complement of what I need for travel, but on the other hand, that small complement of items completely fills both pockets. Both are on the edge of bulging with that load, and adding even one more small thing will overstuff the pockets, making them hard to close and causing the contents to possibly dig into your laptop despite the generous padding. That photo showing the pockets overflowing with goodies as if everything they show could fit in there is just B.S. If you have more than what I describe, look for a different case. And note that the shoulder strap, which on a sleeve-style bag like this will mostly be carried in one of the pockets to be used only when traveling with overly-full hands, cannot fit in either pocket given what else Im carrying. Tomtoc should have further differentiated this case from their non-shoulder-strap version by including pocket gussets on this model. A definite missed trick, even though that also would have increased the price. 2. The max internal dimensions they list for the case are a bit misleading. You can have one dimension at the maximum 12.8 or the other dimension at the maximum 9.14 but not both. The problem is the really nice (read protective) edge padding, which is rounded at the corners. My Lenovo Yoga 920 measures 12.68 x 8.81 and it just fits. (Indeed, if I overstuffed the pockets, I would expect the fabric pulling on the inside faces of the pockets to cause the laptop to fit poorly and make the laptop zipper hard to close.) The padding and pockets make this thing thicker than a typical sleeve, but it still feels like a sleeve. If you arent carrying more than I describe, this case is the ticket. At this price ($30 when I purchased), its hard to go wrong.

I wanted a good looking and very protective bag for my new, expensive Dell XPS 15 laptop. This bag has it all! There is ample protective padding and it is sharp looking. The storage pouches are much larger than they appear with enough room for the charger and AC cord, a portable SSD, a nice sized Logitech bluetooth mouse and the Dell HDMI/USB A dongle with room to spare. All my research paid off. I would definitely buy this again.
