These are really fantastic. I bought a bunch of these to turn on and off Christmas lights. No more plugging and unplugging all December. They are also great for our nightstands and avoid having to bend far out of bed to reach that dang cord mounted light switch. Bonus: it measures energy consumption. Sweet.

While easy to set up, install, and providing great data with excellent remote control; I cannot recommend a product that advertises 1800 watts, 15 amps, and gets to 200F at 1,300 watts. Fire hazard if you have a sustained or high load. For less than 1,000 watts, its probably fine.

    Greater than one week

I might have too many things on my WiFi, but this worked fine for a few weeks, thenit just shut off and wouldnt come but on. I did the cave man shake, bump and multi button push and it came back on after being unplugged for 15 minutes. Working fine again. We will see.

I have other top greener products and these were simple and easy to install and use. Alexa integration rating is low only because I don’t use it.

From a functionality perspective I would give 5 stars, but the size and shape is a little annoying as it pretty much blocks (or tilt) the use of the other outlet (on standard 2 in wall outlets), I had to put an extension on to be able to use the 2 outlets.

I missed the return window by 3 days so I’m stuck with it. It does not give you live power consumption so that sucks. Sometimes updates every few min standing next to it, other times take 15-30 min or more. I’ll prob throw these in the garage sale bin and try another brand......

A very simple easy to install wifi device for your home security. We bought multiple timers for different rooms when we were traveling. We were able to manage the device timings and intervals remotely with their app. Supports multiple on/off intervals per day and also different intervals on different days of the week. Good price as well. Awesome product. Just buy it.

Im not a big home automation freak, but I did want my air conditioner to get a head start cooking my room down before I got home. This plug was easy to set up, works flawlessly and is UL rated, which not all smart plugs can claim. Since its a two pack, I put my boot dryer on the other plug. I had the dryer on a mechanical timer and wasted a lot of energy, this plug lets me set scheduling for my work days vs my off days. Its awesome.

I liked the first one so much that I bought another because I liked the energy use monitoring and how many scheduling and integration features the app provides. And then realized I had enough other IoT devices like this lately that maybe it was time to put them on a separate dedicated Wi-Fi guest network on my router that cant see the rest of my sensitive internal network … just in case the device mfr doesnt do a great job of security testing as you read a lot these days. The bad news first? - If you need to change the plugs Wi-Fi settings, you have to reset it - and you lose all your schedules and have to set them all back up again. Interestingly, my energy use history was retained as its likely linked back in the cloud to the unique MAC or device ID. Why the schedules couldnt also be retained I consider a bug. - The phone app MUST be on the same network to discover the plug. You cant tell the plug to use a different guest SSID network. So you first have to switch your phone Wi-Fi to that dedicated network you want the plug on and THEN also have to make sure that guest network temporarily allows all devices to see each other or the app times out. - At least the Android app is a bit quirky. It takes several taps on the plug icon on the main homepage to select it despite plug readily working. Annoying. The good news? - Once the plug is on your dedicated IoT network and you switch your phone back to the full Wi-Fi network, the plug still works and RESPONSIVE too. So apparently the phone app no longer needs a direct network connection and everything bounces from TopGreeners cloud servers quite quickly!

These devices are very convenient for short term checking of energy usage. I ran into the same issues as everyone else with the devices randomly rebooting into an OFF state, so do not depend on these unattended.
