Bought this for my classroom set of string lights after reading a review by another teacher. The app used by the dimmer switch is compatible with Alexa, which is a cool feature. It was a bit tricky to set up as you must use a 3G network to connect to the app... and our school does not have that option. Took it home and was able to switch my phone to our 3G network, then find the dimmer switch through the app and connect it. Once that was done, the switch worked at school just fine wirelessly with my phone no matter which network I used. Initially had some trouble getting it connected to the app and contacted their support team, who was very responsive and helpful. All in all, the steps are fairly easy to follow but for anyone who is relatively unfamiliar with connecting wireless devices that are incompatible with 5G networks, it may end up feeling frustrating. I can just picture my parents losing their minds trying to figure out what in the world to do. The app coincidentally connected with my daughters LED lights so now she can use Alexa to turn them off and on...something Id not really thought to take time to do beforehand.

Bought this to control my new outdoor patio hanging lights. Works perfectly! I set it up using the Tuya Smart app (which I already had, that controls many devices in my house). Plugged it in, fired up the Tuya Smart app, and the app immediately recognized it as a new device and allowed me to add it. I am able to remotely turn the lights on/off, dim and schedule them. Works with Alexa via the Tuya Smart skill. No issues picking up the wifi signal in my backyard.

I havent used all the features just the manual buttons. My biggest concern is whether the LEDs flicker and they dont seem to. Seems to work fine.

Update: Customer service is very quick and already have a replacement on the way! I absolutely loved this box! For 29 days! Until a few days ago it started acting strange and now it’s 1 day past the return window and I can’t return it for a replacement. I’ve reached out to the company so we will see. Will update if the company replaces it!

Fantastic dimmer and fantastic customer service. Very easy to set up and works like a charm -- all from my phone. Love their 2 year warranty and how responsive they were when I contacted them. Less than a week, there was a replacement on its way to me. Cant ask for more than that. Highly recommend this dimmer and buy again. Now I wish I had upgraded to the new version which provides two plug ports (sigh).

Loved the integration with sunrise/sunset times and Google Home integration. Unfortunately product stopped working after 3 months. **UPDATE: Reached out to company and they said they would honor a 24 month warranty. Helped me try to troubleshoot. When that did not work, they sent me a new smart plug. Thank you!

This is my third one and it broke in 47 days. The first one lasted maybe 6 months, and the second one just about a year. Can anyone recommend a good one?

We have this timer hooked up to some outdoor lights and it has worked seamlessly since day one. Its great to have the ability to control with the app, and the dimmer works great as well!

Ordered this dimmer for outdoor string lights I recently purchased for our patio. It took me a few tries to sync it up to my WiFi and pair to my Alexa device, but once I did, it works like a charm. The app is great, too. Several options for automation and timers. Certainly exceeds my expectations.

I have been wanting to buy a smart outdoor light controller for a while. I have a light-sensor switch to turn on the light for my flagpole from dusk to dawn--but it often turns itself on during cloudy days or when the plants grow too tall around it. I have wanted to get an app-controlled switch that can be programmed to know when dusk and dawn are and only activate during those hours. Since I already have a few Treatlife light switches and plugs already running in their app, I have been waiting for them to release an outdoor plug controller. I didnt want to buy from another company and have to have multiple phone apps to control light devices. Im happy they finally have this available. It is a reasonable size: 4 3/8 x 2 5/16 x 1 5/8 and sturdy enough. It has a solid mounting hold on the back that allows you to mount it onto a nail or screw head. Once I plugged it in, it was ready to pair with my existing Smart Life app. It was super easy to pair. I used my existing Smart Home app that has my other devices configured and it recognized the new plug and walked through the set up process which took less than a minute. It was mildly concerning that once configured, the Smart Life app told me the device was unsupported, that I needed to use the new Treatlife app. I downloaded the new app and found it works just about the same as the Smart Life app, with one notable exception: the new app does not provide add to Siri links for automation shortcuts. I contacted Treatlife and they said that the old Smart Life app works perfectly fine with the outdoor smart switch, so I have been using that app without any issues. I easily added On/Off actions for the plugs and added them to Siri, so I can just say Hey Siri, outdoor lights on to activate the switch. I didnt test Alexa/Google Home integration as I just let Siri handle things for me. I also added it onto my on at sunset and off at dawn automation schedules. I did find one small concern. When connecting a circuit tester, I discovered that the hot and neutral lines are reversed. I contacted Treatlife support regarding this and they have promised to fix this in future manufacturing runs. Since I am only going to run some outdoor lights from the switch, its no big deal. But, if youre running any appliances, you may want to see if theres any concern about the reversed hot/neutral. The only limitation I can see is the range of my 2.4 GHz wifi network (its not compatible with 5 Ghz). I have seen some smart plugs that have dual output plugs which would be handy at times (thinking ahead to Christmas lights) but I am happy to stick with Treatlife--a name I have trusted thus far.
