Greater than one weekWe used this at the end of our year with over 130 students. They came in 5 different groups of over 20 kids each aged 3-11. It was easy to organize and create a system of use so the adults were able to help each child as much as they needed. Our teacher has used other tie-dye supplies for the companies and she liked this one best. The colors after washing looked really good and bright. I cannot say how long they last though.

> 3 dayThis kit yielded 5 gorgeous, vibrant shirts. We have a bit of dye left and could probably do a few more if we werent extremely selective of the colors. I do think they overrepresented the amount of shirts you could do, but I really oversaturated ours because I wanted bright, beautiful colors so Im sure that was a factor. The kit contains everything you need other than the shirts including even a drop cloth. It also includes a sheet showing you some techniques. We turned to YouTube prior to making the shirts for some additional ideas. Each of us chose our own colors and technique and made our own shirts representing our individual styles. It was a great family activity! My teenage son wanted to put forth the least amount of effort he could so he chose the easiest method of just scrunching up the shirt. I loosely tied a band around it so it stayed scrunched and we put just one color of dye on it. It turned out gorgeous with barely any effort, almost zero! I think this kit is great for beginners, groups, parties, anyone really who wants to get creative and create a wearable work of art. Even teenagers!

> 3 dayWe did everything that was suggested, we pre-washed and dried our shirts, we used 100% cotton. We did a vinegar water soak and wrung the shirts out thoroughly, we then tied and dyed our shirts which was great. We let them sit for 24 hours wrapped in plastic to keep them moist, then did the initial rinse.... Shirts all look wonderful, very vibrant, we are very happy! Then we washed as instructed, cold water, gentle cycle, a couple tablespoons of woolite gentle detergent. All of the shirts faded horribly and are now pastel colored and my son wont wear them. It seems like most of the pigment of the warmer colors washed out, as did most of the blue tones from the things like purple and black. We were left with a lot of Pinks and grays at the end where originally dark blues, purples, pinks, orange, and red had been. I dont know what else we could have done differently. It was such a disappointment between the rents and the wash at the result of the shirts. And its not like we can re-dive them or anything at this point so were out of the cost of the kit and the cost of all the shirts. Oh well, at least the process was fun.

Greater than one weekFor the price this is one of the best tie dye kits I’ve used! Tons of fun colors, rubber bands and gloves for a group! Plenty of dye for multiple items and step by step instructions of how to fold to get your desired pattern.

> 3 dayThe dye stays on the shirts we did well, you really have to soak it and let the shirts sit for a while before rinsing to get the maximum saturation, however it is non toxic dye so great to use with kids and if you do get it on your hands it comes off in a day or so.
