> 3 dayI bought this projector because of the 4k and 4.2ms ultra fast input. When first trying it out the screen was a horrible shape that could be corrected ok-wise with the picture settings but they dont tell you that if you do that, you cannot use the 4.2ms ultra fast input. It will reset the screen settings everytime and if you want to keep the settings then forget the 4.2ms so why even buy the thing? The 240hz is a nice feature to have though. The brightness is pretty good as there is always more than enough and at a point you will bleach out the screen. Contrast is not too bad either but they should be up front about the settings with the 4.2 not being avail unless you like a screen thats pyramid shaped. Their customer service is laughable. When I asked about the 4.2 and also the cost of a new remote since the enter button stopped working, they said 50 usd and not even a mention of the 4.2 or the screen problem before changes. Over all forget this one. Go with higher quality like Epson

> 3 dayThe projector looks pretty good out of the box. I’d like to be able to tweak color but the software for doing this is only PC compatible and they do not support Mac. Most Colors are pretty good but magenta is dark and not accurate when wet up beside a Flanders reference monitor. I make a living as a colorist so have a pretty good handle on how things should look. Definitely worth the money paid.

> 3 dayOnly objection I have is there limited source input options unlike other projectors. I dont use it for games, but I guess that is what this model is made for. I dont have anything to play on it over 60 refresh rate so I cant tell the advantage of the 240 rate. IDK if it does 3D, based on the menu options looks like not.

> 3 dayyou can do better than Viewsonic projectors, they are good if you dont know what the movie is supposed to look like. but in any other case, you be better off choosing one of the cheaper optoma like the hd28hd, or benq.

> 3 dayThis is the 5th projector I have owned in the last 20 or so years. I caught a case of buyers remorse as soon as I purchased it and was pretty sure I was going to send it back if it wasnt a huge upgrade over my 1080p BenQ. The picture quality is great and it is quite bright. Its also much quieter than the BenQ. I have yet to use it for any 4k content other than a little XBox but it looks great in 1080p. I guess Im going to keep it. My only gripe so far is that it looks like crap hooked up to my UVerse box in 1080i. All the colors are wonky and people turn in to smurfs. I set the box to 720 and the colors look fine, they also look fine regardless of the resolution on my HTPC. Not sure what the issue is, it worked fine on my last projector. Not a big deal for me as I only turn on the uverse box for football.

> 3 dayI ordered the px748-4k for gaming and occasional movies. The input lag is negligible, so thats good. Color accuracy is okay, but in HDR mode, there is A LOT of banding. Black levels are the worst I have ever seen on any projector EVER. this is my 5th projector. I use a .8 gain matte grey screen, and blacks are light grey at best. I am not surprised as its to ve expected with DLP projectors, but this is especially bad. Anyway, all in all, i dock a star for terrible black levels, but otherwise decent value for the money. For daytime with lots of ambient light, good option. For dedicated theatre with light control, not so much.

> 3 dayUpdate: after a 6 months it developed two dead pixels. Taking away two stars. Starter projectors are not worth it. Save a little longer and buy a good brand. This projector is amazing and has lasted longer than the other three previous.
