> 24 hourOther reviewers here have noted all the pros about this monitor, I will just add that 1-) the adjustable stand is especially easy to use and useful for long hours and avoiding neck pain and 2-) reminder that they ship only a display port/USB cable and an HDMI cable with it even though monitor is USB -C enabled. if you are running Mojave 10.14 or later the adapters for display port and HDMI simply will not work, the mac book will never see the monitor. You *must* get a USB-C 3.1 to C cable. Then you can just plug it all in. Also need to add a shout out to Anne at Amazon (complimentary) tech support for helping figure all this out by coordinating with ViewSonic because it wasnt documented anywhere at the point at which I was trying to do it. Thank you Anne!

> 24 hourlong story short, I shouldve kept my previous LG monitor from Costco and just bought an external speaker. It would probably have been much cheaper. This monitor is neat for being adjustable.

> 24 hourI did hours of research before taking a chance on this monitor. I bought it as a second monitor for my new MacBook Air 2018, as my new Mac would not recognize my old monitor even with the correct adapter cord (I’m guessing it was too old and outdated?). I chose this product because it is USB-C compatible and based on the positive reviews. I nervously hooked it up using an Apple thunderbolt 3 cord ($39.99 on amazon) hoping my Mac would recognize it and — voila!! It worked beautifully. This monitor is not only perfectly compatible with MacBook Air 2018 but also has great resolution and some nice adjustment features - you can effortlessly move it up and down or swivel the screen side to side using the easy-to-assemble base. I highly recommend it!!

> 24 hourThe monitor is ok, nothing fancy. I purchased it because it was supposed to support pass-through charging for my MacBook Pro so I could cut down on the cords on my desk, after reading some of the other reviews and tech questions it sounded like the monitor would but that appears not to be the case. I even purchased a 3.1 USB-C cord but no luck. I dont think this thing puts out enough power sadly.

> 24 hourI really like this monitor. It’s a well-designed monitor with a bright, crisp display that’s going to be really tough to beat without spending significantly more money. And, even if you do decide to spend significantly more money for a better monitor, the difference in picture quality isn’t going to be a jaw dropping. Now, with all that said, once you get this monitor up and running, you will definitely need to make many adjustments to it to get it dialed in exactly the way you like it. So, plan on spending about an hour or so changing settings, making adjustments and fine tuning the picture. And, once you do that, I can’t imagine anyone being anything but happy with this monitor. If I had to complain about something, it would be about the speakers. They’re strictly utilitarian. They provide basic sound. If you want anything better than that, you’ll need to get a pair of external speakers. Which I already had, and pretty much knew I would need since the onboard speakers are, of course, extremely small. Other than the minor speaker thing, I really couldn’t be more happy with this monitor. I think it’s a very solid choice if you’re looking for a 24” budget-friendly monitor. If you have any questions about this ViewSonic monitor, please feel free to ask, and Ill try my best to answer. I hope you found this review helpful.

> 24 hourI purchased this as a second monitor and after a couple months I have had zero issues. Build quality is great, as well as the viewing angles for vertical usage. The trend with many companies is to produce these big monitors with small resolutions. This creates a visually disturbing pixel density that I personally find unpleasant (FHD@32=68.84 PPI vs WQHD@24=122.38 PPI). Its nice to see companies still producing normally-sized monitors with larger resolutions. The stability and mobility is great. Large swivel radius, tilt, and height adjustment for finding that sweet-spot. The handle for movement is a very nice addition. The only thing to be wary of is the fact that this monitor DOES NOT support refresh rates over 60hz at 2k resolution. But for some reason the product description has an eye-catching final bullet point of 75 hertz. (I wanted to take a star off for that shady advertising, but it really is a great monitor)

> 24 hourI use this to extend my MacBook screen for office type applications. My main need is a crisp picture for smooth text and application windows, and at 1440p the picture is plenty crisp for my needs. There seems to be a bit of confusion as to what cables are included in the box. I cant say if ViewSonic has recently changed what they include, but mine (purchased in July 2020) included a USB-C 3.1 cable. The great feature is the Mac, or any USB-C laptop, will connect video, connect any devices plugged into the monitors USB-A ports, and charge the laptop all over a single cable and without adapters. This is more convenient than I thought it would be.

> 24 hourUsed it as a side monitor for my 13 inch mac. Obviously this monitor’s screen is not as goos as the mac’s, but totally worth the money and I m still happy with it. Make sure to buy a usb c cable that supports video streaming up to 2k.

> 24 hourJust set mine up and it works great. Easy to put together, picture immediately looks excellent once plugged in. Also, I read in some reviews that those with Apple products would need to order a separate USB-C to USB-C cable for proper connection and charging. This appears to no longer be the case – that cable was INCLUDED in the box from ViewSonic (along with the power cord, an HDMI cable, and a USB A-to-B cable). Plugged it in and the monitor immediately began charging my Macbook Air 13 while my dual screens synced perfectly. Hope this saves some folks the $20 I spent on a cable from Apple!

> 24 hourIm really enjoying this monitor. It has fantastic picture quality. It has a beautiful facade with a nice and thin borders. The adjustable hight and angle is very useful. However, the built-in speakers are quite terrible. I replaced my external speakers when this monitor arrived, which was a mistake. Now I rely on headsets and my laptops speakers. For comparison, my MBPs built-in speakers are much better.
