> 3 dayThe monitor is ok, nothing fancy. I purchased it because it was supposed to support pass-through charging for my MacBook Pro so I could cut down on the cords on my desk, after reading some of the other reviews and tech questions it sounded like the monitor would but that appears not to be the case. I even purchased a 3.1 USB-C cord but no luck. I dont think this thing puts out enough power sadly.

> 3 dayBe aware the monitor does not support the advertised refresh rate of 75 hertz.

Greater than one weekI love that I can manipulate this monitor in so many different ways. It is completely flexible and free to move around. It was extremely easy to set up as part of an extended screen setup with a docking station. I like that I can adjust the monitor settings so easily. Very good investment.

> 3 dayMonitor performed well overall. I liked how adjustable the screen was in terms of angles and height. The only issue I had was with the Type -C interface. Regardless of the USB C cable i used (I tried many) or the monitor settings (I reset the monitor multiple times) I would inevitably hear a high pitch whine from the LCD. The whine would go away whenever I used a HDMI cord. Since I bought the monitor specifically because it had a type c interface, the particular display I received didnt work for me.

> 3 dayOn amazon it states this monitor is a 75hz refresh rate one. Technically, its true but it only works with lower resolutions - 1280x1024 and lower. Why would you want to buy a 4k monitor just to lower the resolution? ViewSonic should have been more clear about it and specify 75hz works only with such low resolutions! I didnt expect such a foul behavior from ViewSonic.

> 3 dayTo start, let me reiterate whats already been shared. This monitor will only work with a Mac laptop with a USB-C 3.1 connector. I originally tried using my USB-C charging cable that I use to power my laptop and that DOES NOT WORK. I went to the Apple Store to buy a Belkin USB-C 3.1 cable. I told the Apple Store clerk I needed this cable for use with a Monitor and they tried convince me I would need a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C cable instead. I ended up buying both and they both work, but I will be returning the Thunderbolt cable because it was $10 more expensive (And .2 meters shorter ). I should gone with my gut, now I have another errand to run. Just get the Belkin USB-C 3.1 and the monitor is plug and play! I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this monitor, after adjusting the Color/Brightness/Contrast Ive got it matching my Mac laptop Retina display very nicely. I will say, the brightness on the laptop can go maaaybe a hair brighter than the monitor, but its barely noticeable. Also the sharpness on the monitor looks great, but its not quite as clear as the laptop. That means this probably isnt the best monitor for high end detailed Video/Graphic design work, but for everything else this monitor is excellent. The aspect ratio on the monitor is a little wider than the laptop so you have to deal with a tiny sliver of letterboxing on the laptop. (You can also opt for vertical letterboxing on the monitor, but this doesnt look as good). Other great features: The USB-C 3.1 cable will charge your laptop while also presenting the display. There are an additional 3 standard USB ports. Ive tested out the usb connections and the devices Ive tested have worked perfectly with my laptop. This is a great bonus. Also, the stand was so easy to set up. The monitor snaps into place and the base screws into the neck with a single flat head screw (But it has a twist handle so you dont even need a screw driver. The stand is heigh adjustable and also rotates about its vertical axis and tilts up and down. The best part is it also rotates about its depth axis so you can work on projects in Portrait rather than landscape orientation. Perfect for writing. The speakers on this thing are awful, but I cant imagine anyone would buy a monitor for audio quality. Grab a pair of external speakers and youll be set. Overall, this a great deal for a very good 1440p monitor with some useful additional features. I recommend it for use with a mac laptop for anything other than high end video/graphic work. For everyday use, its excellent.

> 3 dayJust set mine up and it works great. Easy to put together, picture immediately looks excellent once plugged in. Also, I read in some reviews that those with Apple products would need to order a separate USB-C to USB-C cable for proper connection and charging. This appears to no longer be the case – that cable was INCLUDED in the box from ViewSonic (along with the power cord, an HDMI cable, and a USB A-to-B cable). Plugged it in and the monitor immediately began charging my Macbook Air 13 while my dual screens synced perfectly. Hope this saves some folks the $20 I spent on a cable from Apple!

> 3 daylong story short, I shouldve kept my previous LG monitor from Costco and just bought an external speaker. It would probably have been much cheaper. This monitor is neat for being adjustable.

> 3 dayLove these monitors. Really nice picture quality and easy to setup. I got 2 monitors to setup at home and connected to my laptop via a hub. Only HF them few weeks, but working great so far.
