> 24 hourUsed unit on shower doors and it worked very well, although it creates quite a mess. Tried to clean tile grout, did not work well at all. Used on some mold around shower edges, again did not work. Used on granite couter top and it did perform OK. Bottom line is Im unimpressed. Its like $150.00 for a window cleaner. May return it. Did return unit. Also did not like the refill process. Had to wait 30 minutes for it to cool down so I could add water. Then had to wait another 15 minutes or so for it to reheat. Lots of wasted time. I bought another brand which is outstanding and works very well.

> 24 hourI bought this to clean an old home that we are renovating. It was neglected and then abandoned. This thing gets in every nook and cranny. Ive used it on ceilings, beautiful moldings with creases and crevices, old windows/frames and sills we are restoring, floors, plumbing, wallpaper and walls, you name it. I love this thing!! Made a big job very easy to tackle! I was debating on spending thus much, but for the time it saved me, its worth every penny!

> 24 hourThis has good pressure and work very well to clean with its steam. But i had a problem with the cap of the water reservoir, somehow the metal seal twisted the o ring that seals it and it did not seal properly so it was losing steam there. I had to go to a specialty store to find a similar o ring adapted to high temperature. It took me a while to find the right one, some were thinner some were thicker others were not suited for high temp. So I have to spend time and money to replace it, but once i solved the problem it has worked well. They have to improve that.

> 24 hourThe whole unit itself is great as a starter unit. Depending on what your needs of use are for it i would’ve enjoyed it more if they actually made a triangle brush attachment for it as I’m a mobile auto detailer and this tools comes in handy at all times. Besides that Is a great unit.

> 24 hourI really like this appliance. It makes quick work of sanitizing, and depending on cleaning activity, helps a great deal, especially if grease is involved (grill, kitchen vent hood, etc), to hit it with steam first. If you steam iron a dirty shirt, it may take out the wrinkles and odor, but its still dirty. So running steam with this appliance over a kitchen surface will NOT make it clean, BUT will sanitize the surface and soften hard, dried organics on the counter top to help make removal easier, but alone, this appliance does NOT clean in the traditional sense ..but it wasnt designed for that purpose either....it would need a vacuum or pick-up capability built-in to achieve. If the above is understood, then there are a lot of tasks where this comes in handy. Yes, traditional steam treatment of most surfaces already makes this appliance useful for almost everyone, but I found a few other great uses. 1. This thing kills bugs using the steam nozzle. I used to need to fumigate our couch when a flea or two was brought in by our pet, now I can steam kill them...the key? Long steam exposure...a quick shot of steam will not suffice....but even after literally 1 whole minute, which is all it takes, but is hard to do in reality - it really is a long time, is just water droplets that evaporates quickly. No chemicals and no oders...just need 40 fl-oz of distilled water...something that never expires 2. Car Engine degreaser...and with the extenders, you can get to places in the engine bay that an areasol can cant reach. I wouldnt recommend using this in your interior, unless you have absolutely no electronics or seat motor exposure...but even, an abundance of caution is still in order. ....youll find more for yourself.... Remember, this uses water, so if the surface being exposed cannot handle water, find another means to clean it. Also, technique is key to results...and if you find that this is not doing the job, maybe rethink the technique, where technique may include adjusting exposure time and/or the appliance tip being used. Enjoy being clean.

> 24 hourOK. So there are a million reviews on this little gem. And whats one more. Well, for starters, I am basically trying to kill this thing. However I do have some precautions. Here is the deal. I have wanted an excuse to buy one of these things for YEARS. Why? Because well, Im a guy and I like it HOT!! Why else?? Well, you could say to add another tool to my arsenal! Yep That would be appropriate, however not all together accurate. My original reason was to clean the brushed aluminum rims on my motorcycle that seem to inevitably be encrusted with a permanent black pate of brake dust. I have scrubbed those damn things for HOURS and nothing seems to actually do it. However. Spending nearly $100 just to clean the rims on my bike.. yeah. Thats not gonna fly. The congressional blockage is thrown in every time and no-sir-re Not for this boy. Fast forward almost 15 years to current day. My family and I moved into an apartment that we knew was short term, however needed something immediate due to some rather unfortunate circumstances. But this is about the steamer.. Remember the steamer (said in my best Arlo Guthrie Folk voice) So the apartment. Oh yeah. So little did we know upon moving in that the landlord was subletting the inner walls of this dump to some rather un-welcome and un-wanted guests. Bed Bugs.. Yeah. I know. GROSS!! Not to mention just an all out pain in the vent! So you guessed it, we loaded up the truck and avoided Beverly. Road that is... We got out of dodge, we blew that clambake, made like a tree and left. Ok so that didnt work. but we did get the hell out of there and frankly wanted to make sure we left the guests behind. (Kinda like skipping out on them in the middle of the night) We left a fair amount of our furniture there, beds, couches, etc.. However there were some things that either had sentimental value, or we simply did not have the spare scratch to replace. we did a TON of research and discovered that these little buggers meet their Hemiptera maker at about 122 degrees Fahrenheit. I thought about simply breathing on all of them, but turns out they LIKED that. So we opted for some chemical assistance in some cases, some ground up fossils in others, and the almighty steamer for the bulk of it. Wait.. We were talking about the steamer, werent we.. Sorry, I digress. So we order this little gem and figure what the heck. Maybe it will work. well we steamed everything. and I mean EVERYTHING.. Somethings 3 or 4 times. The corners of every book case, dresser, drawers, under the desks, you name it, we steamed it. and I will be damned. THEY DIED!! IT WORKED!!!! So since we had this thing around, we might as well experiment at cleaning things: Counters Check Sinks Check Coffee Pots Check Toilets Check Dishwasher Check Fans Check (Although some of you were a little steamed at being steamed) Cats Nope Windows Check (Oh yeah, and BTW.. It works KILLER on glass. Steam it up, scrub it a little and wipe it down) Popcorn Machine Check Floors Check Walls Check Kids Check (They whine a little bit too) Coolers Check Refrigerators Check Freezer Check OK I am sure there was more, but I am running out of valid memory. So Monday my son goes into his High School to help setup his shop for the year. (He is a culinary student) and low and behold the outgoing class for the spring left them some rather entertaining presents. Things that were unbelievable at growing mold. So he calls me and asks if he can borrow the steamer to help clean up the kitchen. of course I agreed, well because I am trying to kill it of course. So last night I get a call from one of the chefs, asking me where I bought it, and how much it was. This thing tore up the mold like it had a personal vendetta against it. Cleaned things up to the point that they looked almost new again and between this and a little bleach the odors were gone, and the stainless was back to highly acceptable condition once again. So you ask. (or maybe you dont) Would you recommend this to a friend? - Tough question. I believe I would recommend it to a friend, because I want to keep mine all for me. Would you buy another one? - Only after crying because this one died. Is there anything you DONT like about it? - Well, yes. it should have a sight glass for the water level or an auto off at low level. - There could be a return water line in the hose. Where if it sits for a length of time the steam in the hose turns back into water no big deal, just have to have a place to squirt it. So all in all, I would have to say I think this is a great product and should be considered for a variety of uses. Thanks for reading. OH I almost forgot. this thing cleans those motorcycle rims like NOBODYS business. :)

> 24 hourSo, I bought one of these to see how well it works and I am fairly happy with my purchase so far. I will just attempt to list the pros and cons as briefly as I can: PROS: 1) Can clean virtually any surface (even wood if you are careful and dont let it saturate the wood to the point where it starts to peel or warp). 2) Easy to move around with the wheels. 3) The attachments are fairly straight forward and easy to use. 4) Holds a lot of water for nearly an hour of steaming before it needs to be refilled and reheated. 5) Easy to switch on the steam and automatically shuts off if you release the lever. 6) Powerful enough to blast nicotine and other stubborn stains off of the walls and ceilings of an old apartment that we are cleaning (so much so the ceiling tiles I have done so far look as though they were painted compared to the ones left untouched. 7) Takes dirt off of floors (albeit with some continued effort) that are nearly 50 years old. The tiles I have done thoroughly are revealing their true color which was a bright white at one time, while the rest around them are still yellowed that have yet to be steamed. 8) Doesnt take too long to heat (roughly 15 minutes -- time you can use to do other cleaning before you steam the floors or whatever. 9) long hose (about 6 feet or so) and two extending arms aid in cleaning ceilings and other higher up surfaces. 10) Not too heavy to carry from room to room or up and down staircases. CONS: 1) There is no visible reservoir to judge the water level. The solution I have found to solve the issue of potential overflowing is to wait until the steamer simply stops producing steam. This way you know its empty inside and then use a measuring cup to measure out 48 ounces of water (the maximum amount the reservoir can hold) and then when you add it you wont have to worry about overflow. 2) The hose, while it is long, easily twists up even after just uncoiling it. I would liken it to a phone cord in the way it twists up so easily. While it is a nuisance at times, it is not that big a deal. It does easily stretch back out and uncoil if you lift it up to do an area up high. 3) The only on-board storage is for the two tiny brush attachments that come with the machine to do cleaning of grills and grout and other surfaces that require a good stiff brush to clean. However, I just keep the other attachments on a shelf when not using them. 4) The machine only comes with one pad, which is essentially cheap terrycloth. While it is certainly machine washable or easily hand washed in the sink, it could become tiring having to do this all the time. A solution I have found that works well is to get a white towel and cut it into pieces using the pad that comes with it as a guide. These hand cut pieces works fairly well if properly clipped on and seem to even have more absorbency than the one that comes with the product. On a side note extra pads can be bought from the company for 11 dollars for three (fairly inexpensive compared to Shark steamers that charge 20 dollars for two pads). 5) When you first start to steam an initial blast of water typically comes out. Not too big of an issue either simply spray into the air or onto a towel or into a cup to get that initial water blast out of the way then you are good to go with a great supply of steam cleaning power. 6) The power cord is perhaps one of its greatest cons, as it is only about 2-3 feet long. Again, easily rectified by using an extension cord. You can use a 50 footer as I do so that you do not have to worry about unplugging it and plugging it back in multiple times. 7) The buttons you have to depress to remove attachments tend to be a bit sticky (even after only a few days of use) just be careful to depress them completely by pushing down right on the center of them before pulling off any attachments. 8) The red light will come on quite often (sometimes less than a minute after getting the green light that it is ready to go and at max temp. This does NOT mean you cannot still use it. It may be a faulty sensor or it could just be that it fell a few degrees below the max temp, nevertheless it still works great even when the red light comes on. Do not let it alarm you and make you think you have to stop repeatedly as one reviewer stated when cleaning his floors. Overall, I am rather impressed with what I have done with the steamer so far and look forward to continuing to use it to get this apartment in tiptop shape for renting. For the price of under 100 dollars it seems to be a great option to get the job done. Dont expect miracles, but do expect to be pleasantly surprised with what things you can clean. I have done floors, walls, ceilings, windows (which it does beautifully with the squeegie attachment, might I add) tiles, wood (even though the manual says it isnt recommended -- see my comment from above regarding using the product on wood), toilet, sink faucets, stove tops, and even metal doors with great success. It also can be used on furniture (again be careful not to overly saturate the upholstery so as to prevent molding), curtains, and even clothing (of course check your labels to make sure that steam wont damage a particular fabric). I say, so far at least, that the product is worth the money and will be beneficial to you to assist with cleaning. It makes cleaning much easier and with no need for chemicals it is a very ecological cleaning option. Remember everyone has different experiences. Give the product a try and I dont think you will be disappointed. Plus, if you should find you dont like it, Amazon has a great return policy! Happy Steaming! EDIT: 2/11/13 Used this guy on my aunts linoleum kitchen floor and it took white paint from when my grandfather painted her kitchen 8 years ago right off...every spot of paint is gone. She had been trying for years to get it off and this worked like a charm in a matter of minutes it was all gone as though it never had been there in the first place -- also it has cleaned tile floors that were 50 years old that always looked dingy and yellowed no matter what I did..now the tiles look bright white again...after these two experiences had to update this to 5 stars.
