WD 4TB Gaming Drive works with Playstation 4 Portable External Hard Drive - WDBM1M0040BBK-WESN

I use it for game storage on PS4. Ive had it for nearly two years. About three times throughout my ownership it would slip up and interrupt my game and then I would have the option to repair the device and then it would fix itself in a few minutes. Small annoyance, but its rare.

Good addition...holds the games as should...wish it were just a wee bit faster...but itll get you through your space shortage.

This is just a simple device plug in then it ask to format then its done there u go simple as that easy as 123

Works well with ps4pro and ps5, no issues after more than 2+yrs of regular gaming on the former. Worth it

Excellent drive, using it on my Xbox 360. Good speed on USB 3.0 (see attached pic). Ive had great reliability from other WD portable HDDs, so expecting the same here. LED is very bright and blinks slow and steady when in standby, but a small piece of black electrical tape takes care of that.

Does what youd expect it to. After having a bad experience with Samsung and Seagate hard drives in the past WD has never let me down and I chose to go for this one. Initially I did have some issues. Plugged it into the PS4 only to be told not compatible and must be USB 3.0 only which had me feeling I was ripped off! Turns out the PS4 has two different types of USB ports. Plugged it into the correct slot and once formatted (in about 30secs) was ready to use. Easy to set up. 2Tb more than enough and at that price its cheaper than others. Only reason I have given it 4 stars is because the Transfer rate is a bit slow and a very bright LED light is a bit unpleasant at night.

This item is GARBAGE! It worked for 6 months and then all of the sudden Xbox One doesnt recognize it. There is no customer service or warranty. Spend the extra money and get something with a warranty!

Ton of space for the price

I bought one of these new for my PS4 and it just would not connect to my gaming system or my pc. A replacement cable was shipped that did not resolve the problem. A replacement drive was shipped to me and that failed within a month (same not connecting problem and even WDs utilities programs not recognizing the drive. I am returning this again if I can.
