NVMe is not a ton faster than most of your SATA SSDs, but much faster than any HDD. If you need the best and fastest (my son) then spend the extra few bucks for NVMe as long as your motherboard supports it. It almost surely does.

My system uses MSI X670E Carbon WIFI motherboard + 7950X3D cpu. The SN850X 4TB was supposed to be my secondary/backup storage. However this disk leads to system instability and sometimes my system doesnt want to boot simply because the disk is not visible in the BIOS and in the OS, respectively.

I ordered this and 35 days later it fail, I did contact manufacture for warranty but they didn’t honor warranty :( be careful I had transferred about 2tb on my old family pictures and had to spend $300 on recovering my info, and spend and other $450 on another ssd

Popped it in my 2nd m.2 slot gave it a drive letter and it works great!!! Was shipped timely and I love it!!!

Using it with my PS5 and haven’t had a single issue. Make sure to buy to heatsink if you buy one without it.

Didnt have heatsink but got one next day and have had no problems nice to have more than 5 games on my ps5
