Just hooked this up to my PS5 and wow! Blazing speed. I literally transferred all my games to this because it will run it faster than the ssd that comes stock with the PlayStation. Only downside to this is it’s such a shame to be hiding such a beautiful drive deep inside your setup where you will never see it.

Installed in my PS5, can format successfully without any problem.

I bought this unit to install in a small portable Thunderbolt enclosure I was building. As installed the unit meets my expectations delivering the speed, cooling (with a thermal pad supplied with my enclosure) and reliability so far that I look for in very high speed external storage for several Mac computers that I use for video and audio work. The WD drive is providing comparable performance to a Samsung NVME M.2 2280 (960 series) drive that I used in my previous build. At this point absent a change in my long term experience, I would consider buying either of these drives based on pricing and availability at the time of purchase.

Drive is fine, especially if you get it for under MSRP/on sale, but it is NOT single-sided. The entire backside is not covered in chips, but there are two memory blocks on there, so look elsewhere if you machine specifies single-sided. Good thing I have somewhere else to use this.

Lo compre para instalársela a un ps5 y la verdad que es bastante rápido, le compre un disipador de calor aparte, la velocidad de lectura que me puso el ps5 es de 6400.

Mu facil de instalar en la PS5, el equipo lo reconoce automaticamente y posterior a su formateada queda completamente funcional.

Got this drive to use for my Steam library and it’s very fast compared to my previous gen 3 drive.

Performs as expected. Great speed.

No complaints at all
