Our budget Lenovo (IdeaPad 3 15IIL05) came with a 256GB SSD. To make it more useful, I originally paired it with an external WD Black 500 GB hdd. That has its limitations, though, as its not very transportable. After the warranty expired, upgrading to the 1 TB internal SSD was simple. Lots of online videos on how to remove the back cover and locate the SSD. First I took the new SSD and put it into an SSD enclosure I also purchased on Amazon. Then I was able to format it with Windows from the existing SSD (hidden partition). Finally I removed the laptop cover, took the old SSD out and put the new SSD in. The old SSD went into the SSD external enclosure. It was easy to copy all the files from the external hdd to the new 1 TB drive, and Ive been up and running with no issues. No problems with portability, either (the 500GB hdd is semi-retired; I only pull it out on rare occassions). Great upgrade!

i saved some money by buying an open-box item from Amazon Warehouse. its easy to get caught up in all of the technical details of read/write speed/etc there are so many factors that affect the drives performance. im using this drive installed in an OWC external USB-C drive enclosure and connected through an OWC USB-C hub to my 2020 MacBook Air M1 and it works great as an external boot drive. I do not have any issues with this set up. the laptop boots timely from the external drive and works fine for my needs.

Easy to install. Follow this tutorial on Youtube How to Clone Windows from a Hard Disk to an M.2 SSD (and Keep It Bootable) I added 32 GB of ram and this SDD and wow my Inspiron 15 5570 is so fast!

Installed the 2TB SN750 NVMe to replace a four 1TB HDD RAID array, removing those HDDs from the case made the computer so silent its eerie, only after the HDDs were removed that we realized how loud their humm was.
