This 4 tb hardrive is flawless. Installed. Immideatly it formatted itself. Ran perfect and very smooth very quiet. Im impressed. Records with beautiful clarity. This hard drive is different from a regular computer drive. Im glad I bought it. It made my camera system and 8 cameras come alive with very clear pictures and lots of recording room. I give 5 stars. And Im picky.

Actually, used in a NVR to record 4 video streams but the needs are the same as for a security system. NOT made in China so it should last. Never get any HD made there. Any other Asian country but not China. Thailand, Malaysia, Japan (of course), Korea, Singapore, Vietnam but avoid Chinese ones.

Great choice of HDD for an NVR. Never had a problem with one, very long service life.

Did research on my NVR and is recommended either this one or the Skyhawk for about $20 more dollars I received the hard drive about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks earlier. Easy to install and no issues

This plug and play replacement for a failed NVR hard drive was exactly what I hoped for and did not disappoint.
