Greater than one weekI must have 10 different Whiteside Router bits. Their my go to bits, period! I do have in addition Amana, Bosch as well brands. But find White the bit for Bowl and bit work especially. This bowl and dish bit is not sharp or the angle of machining is off. It started work on for a 10 inch pass then started skipping all over the place. The bit is on the way back to Amazon and most likely Ill get the same but that Im pretty sure will work as per its design. Very Dissatisfied in all my years of Woodworking Ive never had an issue with a router bit except for a few when I first started the hobby using Skill brand.... If you look carefully I used a different bowl and dish bit routing the the surface but staying away from the edge. Why because its not the type of Bowl but with the correct angle I want on the entire edge. You can see how the bit Im returning scored/burnt the surface and skipped all over. I would recommend to anyone thinking about purchasing a Whiteside brand of anything really not to be perturbed they normally make long lasting precise accessories for the pros or if your into using em as a Woodworking hobby.

05-01-2025Used the router bit for the first time and while the bit cut clean and accurate, the guide bearing failed, froze up and spun on the shaft. The bit is still sharp and usable, but not as designed with a guide bearing.

> 3 dayI purchased this bit along with a extension to route serving bowls in 2 thick mahogany. The bit was checked in 2and half horse power router on a CNC machine. It ran for 90 minutes per tray with excellent finish and sharpness. Dont know what the life expectancy is for this bit but Whiteside has an excellent reputation for durablity. I have done three trays so far with vey good results. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayIf you are making a tray this is a good product. It is easy to use and after you route the outside just go over the inside and it will be flat. I only had to do very little sanding after using the product.

> 3 dayIf youre like I was, you buy any tool you can afford. Save your money and dont waste it on some no name tool company. You get what you pay for.... Spend a little extra and you will get better, longer lasting tools that at the end of the day, will save you time and money. You dont need to buy a whole set, but buy the most common bits from Whiteside, and you will be a much better maker.

> 3 dayGreat bit and at a better price than many of its competitors. This bit is large and best used after removing material with a drill press. It leaves a clean surface which requires only minor sanding.

> 3 dayI bought this to hollow out some tests. The blade is sharp so it plunges an cuts smoothly leaving a great finish with no chipout.
