So far so good. I read several complaints about the box allowing parts to shift around, which is still true even though there was a thin sheet of black foam included. But, only the smallest taps fall out of place. But honestly people, if you cant solve this with a little glue and some foam or packing material (like the white foam I added that Im pointing to) Im not sure why you would want tools like this. It took me longer to type this review than to re-sort the small taps, diagnose the problem, find some foam and glue, and fix it. I always wanted one of these, and ended up using it the day it arrived (just to tap plastic to fix clothes dryer lint trap). This set may not be for pros, but the price is good, and hopefully it will be fine for a home-owner/fixer-upper like me.

Great product, this is exactly what I needed. I do a lot of work on guns, this is just what I need. This set replaces an old set that I inherited from my father. It looks like it will serve me for the rest of my life. Great product, and came in two days.

I give 3 stars since I was able to do a critical tap 1/2-20 without problem and chase the threads on several 1/2-20 bolts. But the first 9mm-1.0 bolt I attempted to chase the threads on and the die broke. The bolt was NOT a hardened steel of any kind just a Plain Jane steel. Im not a newbie, I have a smaller Tap&Die set I bought back in 1980 and have never broken a Tap or Die. Im just an advanced shade tree mechanic and have used Taps&Dies hundreds of times.

This set is easy to use and has a good selection to choose from.

This kit was missing one of the most common and utilized tap and die, the; 10 x 1.25. I was kind of shocked and made me question the supplier/manufacturer’s mindset. I did select it from the Automotive Tools section. I ended up purchasing the individual pieces and placing it in the case.

Very impressed with overall quality. For the price it was definitely a homerun. Recommend to anyone looking for a quality tap & die set at a reasonable price.

Ive been putting this set through its paces and things are holding up just fine. Cutting through 4130, 403 stainless and 404 stainless no problem. Theyre not the sharpest taps out there so you have to go slower and back off more often. Use LOTS of cutting fluid. The disappointment is in the case and tap handle. The case is absolutely horrible! Do not bother carrying the box by the handle. All the taps will fall out of their slot and get mixed up. Storing the box on its side is a no-no. So basically, if I want to use this, it has to take up more than half a drawer in my tool box so that nothing gets jumbled up. If I had known that, regardless of the quality of the taps and dies, I wouldnt have purchased the set. The tap handles are horrible. The threads in the arms are out of spec so the arms are loose— they back off while youre using the tool. The end result is a handle that slips off the tap and could break the tap inside whatever hole youre trying to tap.
