> 24 hourThis is a simple tool that does what it is supposed to do, poke holes in drip irrigation supply line (1/2 and 3/4) so that 1/4 arterial line fittings can be easily installed. Nothing fancy, just a robust tool that can be tossed in your kit.

> 24 hourI wanted to upgrade my sprinklers for my flower bed on my new home. Installing a drip system is not rocket science so I bought this tool to assist in puncturing the hole in the main line. I use tools for a living so I can normally figure out how a tool functions and get it to work. Puncturing the line was not a problem, but when it came time to use the insertion part on the back of the tool the fitting kept slipping out. Maybe I was doing something wrong but after many attempts I just used my hands and force to do the job. There are other tools on the market for a little more money and if I attempt this again I will invest in a tool that is better for getting the fittings connected easier.

> 24 hourThis tool makes puncturing the main irrigation tubing easier but I did have a little trouble using it to push the fitting into the tubing.

> 24 hourPuncture end worked really well as expected. The cable connector feature for my application worked really well for my application. I was inserting a barbed fitting into a hose if you put your thumb and forefinger finger as shown in the pictures and press in at a slight angle towards the underside of the tool it pushed in the barb quite easily. There were reviews saying it didn’t work for them but in my application it worked very well.

> 24 hourThe punch worked perfectly (thus the 3 stars), however the insertion tool did not work at all. When pushing the barb into tubing, the barb tended to slip off the holder as force was applied. I gave up and just used pliers to do the insertion, which was so much easier.

> 24 hourIt was very hard for me to use even when I let the hose warm in the sun. Not for older folks that are weaker.

> 24 hourNot much use untill you drill a 7/32 hole in one of the slots . Then you can use it to hold 1/4 barb fittings while installing them on tubing.
