> 3 dayI have used a variety of prussic hitches while deer hunting from a saddle & most of them, (Blakes Hitch, Distel Hitch, Klemheist Hitch, Valdotain Tresse & the universal 3 wrap Prussic Hitch) have all worked accordingly but if you want a device that will lock you into position & not slowly begin to creep down your 11mm nylon static rope then I adamantly suggest that you purchase a Ropeman #1 mechanical prussic device. I have been silently positioned in a tree for up to (5) hours at a time & not once did I have any rope creep issues with the Ropeman #1 mechanical prussic device. If you are overly worried about the device slowly slipping down the rope (your tether or bridge) then just tie an overhand knot below the Ropeman #1 mechanical prussic device or just tie the remaining rope from your tether into a figure 8 knot on a bight & then reclip that figure 8 knot on a bight back into the carabiner that is on your tether. I have not seen any detrimental or long term side effects from using the Ropeman #1 mechanical device on any of my ropes. Just remember that when adjusting your body weight always take the pressure of your body weight off of the rope then adjust your Ropeman #1 mechanical prussic device whether it is on your Bridge, Linemans Belt or Tether as needed in any direction up or down. I have spent a rather exorbitant amount of money trying to find a device that will securely attach my 185 pound frame onto a tree as well as keeping me silently positioned for a rather protracted period of time & the Ropeman #1 mechanical prussic device meets & exceeds all of my expectations when it comes to deer hunting safely, efficiently & effectively from 24 feet up in a tree. Just for the record my favourite ropes of choice for saddle hunting are the Sterling Tri-Tech, Sterling Tech Eleven, Sterling HTP Addiction Static & the Yale Kernmaster Safari. All of these ropes I utilise in the 11mm size. They say that a man shows who he is by what he does with what he has & what I have is a mechanical device that has let me harvest numerous deer & return home safely so that I can reap the benefits of my rewards from a successful as well as safe hunt.

> 3 dayI like this device for a quick lifting point in a rescue situation. It is affordable, well built, and light weight. Getting it on the rope can be a bit tight, but we are using 12.5 mm rope which is on the high end. In our industrial application we use bigger carabiners that can be a little tight as well, but a little push on the back end of the cam locks it on. Smaller climbing biners with smaller rope diameters would give it a five star from me.
