The operating system crashed after 3 months. Acer wouldnt reinstall operating system because LCD screen had small crack. They wanted the cost of new computer to fix LCD first. I didnt expect them to fix the screen- just wanted something functional to get my son through the next 6 months of school.

Unless you are a computer genius save your money. You cant use word, its hard as f$@% to save files, editing pictures is almost impossible unless you buy new software, of course it has to be theirs. Google has spent a lifetime trying to corner the market on computers and now they have figured it out. Oh, and of course there is no manuel so you can ask for help but good luck figuring out what its telling you. I would save your money because now I am going to have to buy another laptop that is compatible with word

So I like the design and form of this Chromebook. It has a nice keyboard, and excellent touchpad, and some decent guts that let you do everything from office productivity to some android gaming. The app store(s) have increased in size quite a bit since Chromebook was introduced to the world, and being able to run many Android apps gives you a lot of options, even offline.

Ive been on the search for the perfect 2 in 1 for years. Ive typically gone the detachable route and have been living in the celeron footprint with windows 10 and its been... Not that great. Also windows 10, while its the best version of Windows still fights with touch and tablet use to the point of frustration.

This Chromebook is loaded with good stuff, and beats the Google GO hands down. The I-5 processor and 8GB of memory and 128 GB of SSD put it up with the best Windows laptops. It has the lighted and very comfortable keyboard, touchscreen with stylus (built in), and great battery life. The added feature is the screen - it is an inch taller than the normal 13.5 screen which lets you get a more of what you are working on or watching up in view. And the screen resolution is beyond Full HD.

Tested both the Asus spin and this machine. Both are premium builds but this seems more solid. Acer did not cut any corners. Wonderful and responsive screen. The major difference is widescreen vs 3:2 aspect ratio of the screen. More real estate on the screen when you use the tablet in portrait mode (as a tablet) to read articles or books.

The resolution on this Chromebook is horrible. I mean, gray, fuzzy, and outdated. I was flabbergasted. Had to return and spend a little bit more for the Samsung Chromebook 2. Now that’s a nice device!
