I needed a monitor with a faster refresh rate for casual gaming... mostly FPS. I had spoiled myself on a 27 that only had a 60 Hz refresh rate, so when this 27 model with 144 Hz popped up on sale, I grabbed it. So far, I love it... especially for the price. I was disappointed with the depth of color when I first hooked it up... the whole display looked a bit hazy on Windows 10 compared to my old Samsung display. However, I looked in the Advanced Display Settings in Windows and found that it was running at 60 Hz by default. I bumped it up to 144 Hz and that somehow made the colors much deeper and true-looking. Color depth is now similar to my Samsung display, except now with a much higher refresh rate. If you are disappointed with a haziness in your new display, check to see what refresh rate it is running at. I tried some gaming and am very pleased so far. I cant use the Freesync feature since I have an NVidia GPU and I didnt want to pay for G-sync. However, I enabled V-sync on the games I played and experienced absolutely no screen-tearing and great response, with no noticeable hit to FPS. And 144 Hz is a definite improvement over 60 Hz. One other thing to note: there is virtually no physical bezel on the top and sides of the monitor. However, there are apparently no actual pixels for about a quarter inch from the edge of the display on the top and sides, which gives it a sort of soft bezel. Not a big deal for me, as I just wanted a 27 monitor with a faster refresh rate than I had, but be aware that when you hook it up, the display doesnt really reach the virtually nonexistent bezel. The bezel that is there is like a brushed/matte looking material, as is the screen itself, so there is no noticeable reflection from any surface of the monitor... which is another plus. Overall, I am very pleased with this monitor, especially considering the price I paid for it.

I bought it mainly for gaming so it succeeded in that department. The audio quality sucks but for a product that does very little to no advertising of its “audio” feature, it might as well should be considered a little bonus rather than a bad feature to be honest. Overall, its a five star since again, it succeeded what it advertises to do

This monitor is amazing for gaming i honestly think it is the best deal you can get it has 144hz and 1ms repsonse time like described and these monitors would be great side by side bc of how small the bezel is. 100% recommendation to family and friends and everyone

I picked up this monitor for $100 while it was on sale. Its a beautiful picture and perfect refresh rate. The only thing I dont love is the speakers are not very loud at all. I use headphones most of the time so this isnt really an issue for me.

As others have noted, the built in speakers are worthless. Acer should just remove them and save themselves some money, as a pair of headphones cranked to Max are louder. Unlike some of the other comments, I havent noticed any flickering, dead pixels, lines, or other distortions and it doesnt give me any more of a headache than any other monitor. The color seems off compared to my existing monitor, but its hard to get two panels to look alike, even from the same manufacturer (I have matching monitors at work and one is way more blue than the other). If you can get it for under $100, its probably worth the buy.

This is a very good monitor for productivity and gaming. PROS: 144hz for 1080 refresh rate good for gaming, also has 120hz for lower spec PC and console. Big clear screen, no dead pixels, good preset options. CONS: Tilt only screen, can not raise or lower screen. Is VEGA compatible though with 75x75 I believe

Great Monitor, good picture and runs smoothly, only reason it doesn’t have a 5 star is because just a few days after the 1 year warranty it white screened. The monitor only has maybe 1000 hours on it also. But overall great monitor! Would recommend it.

Worked fantastic paired with my RX580 for a few months now it only works over HDMI. I tried multiple displayport outputs from my graphics card as well as multiple displayport cables (including a new one) and it doesnt recognize a signal from that input anymore. I have shipped it out to Acer support (still within its 1 year warranty) for a fix and am awaiting word on its condition/what went wrong. Before it stopped working over DP it was fantastic. 144hz and Freesync had me spoiled and now back on the HDMI is noticeably worse. Will update this review after I receive my fixed monitor from Acer support.

The only con I would have to say is the customization of picture. Out of the box the picture quality is pretty meh so you’ll have to mess with it for a bit. I’m also not very keen on only having two settings for sharpness.

its extremely heavy for what it should be. not too happy about not having a usb port, thats just stupid. also you dont get a coax in which is not the greatest. the picture is really nice so far. navigation through menu is not great, but manageable. next monitor will have these options. was a good upgrade from my vizeo 19 inch. was able to transfer everything on the wall mount to this one without issues, so that was nice. got this for $89. def wait for it to go on sale if considering buying.
