> 3 dayIve had no end of issues with the realtek audio drivers. I often get no audio output. Ive been able to temporarily fix it by reinstalling the drivers but I could never get the microphone jack to work. Battery life is poor, 2-4 hours. Otherwise the laptop is great.

> 3 dayComputer performs quite well from a graphics standpoint for cost but I am worried about quality control. 2 months in, and the headphone jack is not working.

> 3 dayIf youre a semi to serious gamer that is in the need of a gaming laptop while also on a budget then look no further. The Predator Helios 300 is just right for you, the big brother to the Nitro5 and an amazing model.

Greater than one weekIt was really good for the one day that everything worked, then after day 2 the sound stopped working entirely saying that there was no audio device installed (including the built in speakers), and then on day 4 it blue screened on me permanently saying windows 10 isn’t working on the computer. FYI amazon won’t help you if you have a problem, I called their “tech support” that was really just white noise over the phone and then I went to see if I could get a replacement and they could offer me that either.

> 3 dayIf you’re thinking on getting this laptop, please do it you won’t be disappointed, for the value of this it’s has amazing performance and quality. The shipping was a little rough since surprisingly they didn’t put any protection on the package but everything else was fine. NOW if you’re getting this I would recommend to undervolt it and so you have the best temps all the time. I played Destiny 2, warzone, Raimbow Six and the temps never went to 70c which is awesome for a laptop this thin and it’s components.

> 3 dayWhat you get for the cost is hard to beat with the Helios 300, but ultimately the heating of this laptop was just too extreme that I had to return it. The temperatures of the CPU were way too high at idle and awful under load. I was regularly seeing 60-70 degrees C without anything open, even after limiting the CPU turbo feature from the control panel. This resulted in a very loud computer, even when just web browsing. I’d like to give it the benefit of the doubt, and that the fans/thermal paste/etc on my unit were just installed poorly, but if that’s the case it reflects poorly on Acer’s quality control.

> 3 dayAfter less than 2.5 years of every day use as primary computer (web browsing, emails, occasional video streaming) and WoW gaming rig - ie, not pushing this thing hard - it just died. Completely unresponsive. I did all the usual troubleshooting, and all signs point to motherboard failure. First computer Ive ever had die prematurely. I still have a 20-year-old Dell Inspiron in my closet that boots up fine. Im extremely disappointed with this laptop and will be spending the holidays trying to salvage files from the hard drive. Cannot recommend.
