I have had the 2020 predator for a month. I did a lot of research prior to buying this laptop. You get a lot of value for the price. It boots up very fast, just a few seconds to the home screen. It does have some unnecessary bloatware that you can easily uninstall. My laptop has the western digital 512mb nvme w/ 2 expansion hdd slots (1 nvme/1 hdd) and 16gb Samsung 3200mhz ddr4 ram. I swapped out the 16gb ram for HyperX 32gb 3200mhz ddr4 without any issues. I also added 1tb Samsung 970 nvme SSD. It does come with the hdd cable if you want to put in a 2.5 hdd/ SSD. You just need a screwdriver to remove the bottom of laptop case and to screw in the hdd drive ( it already has the cage and 4 screws) . Only drawback to this laptop is battery life is short but you have to expect that as a gaming laptop. You can connect it to an external monitor as well via hdmi. Overall very comfortable with this purchase at $1199 usd.

This Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming computer offers probably the best performance you can get at an entry level price for a gaming laptop. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 6 GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM GPU has a lot to do with that.

I like to game The Sims, Civilization, and quite a few Steam treasures like Railroad Tycoon, Two Point Hospital, Megaquarium, Caesar III, Zeus and more. I did a lot of research, and am SO HAPPY with my purchase. My games run quick and at high quality, and load/save super quick. Minimal downtime waiting for loading.

Worked great for 6 months or so. I used it as a desktop connected to a monitor and keyboard. As of last night is completely dead and won’t turn on. Would not purchase again.

I received this laptop one week ago, and it has met my expectations. It is an excellent machine for the price. I havent had the possibility of playing a lot with it, but at least with a couple of games and applications I have tested, the laptop has worked as expected. Ill provide more information when I run more applications and games.

Amazing laptop. Battery life isn’t too great, but it’s a gaming laptop so what do you expect. Runs modern warfare beautifully!

Great for gaming, good heat control. Acer fixed alot of issues from the old machine, lowered the price and upped the specs. The 2060 contained is a beast which isnt going to heat your keys to the point of cooking your fingertips as old models did. Fans were split up and now had one on each side, sharing the cooling across the devices better.

Actually nice laptop when it runs properly.
