Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

This case is hard; so it protects the hard drive very well. On the other hand it looks great and have enough room for cable. In my point of view its the best choice as a case for my passport WD.

Really great pouch. Fits snugly and compact. Wish it came in colors to distinguish more than one drive. Inside is a pocket for the cord and the other side carries the drive behind elastic straps. Zipper allows pouch to open flat. No complaints-- everything to like: size, security, practicality, protection.

Bought for my WD Passport 2TB, fits like a glove.

Nice hard sturdy design and a good price

This case houses my Seagate Backup Plus Slim (2TB if it matters) hard drive with some room to spare on the sides but the elastic band is quite strong and doesnt seem to allow much movement at all. The opposite mesh pocket is good enough to hold the USB cable which came with the hard drive. I dont see the need to do this but the hard drive does fit in the mesh pocket if you were that concerned. The case isnt entirely hard but does feel sturdy enough.

Works perfect for what its intended for. I would definitely buy another.

This is a great, inexpensive, no-frills case for portable external hard drives. I purchased it for use with a Western Digital Passport Ultra 2 TB drive, which fits easily within the case, but without a lot of extra room. Stated another way, its not a tight fit, nor does the drive slide around within the case. Its not a completely hard case – just very rigid. So while you wouldnt necessarily want to hit it with a hammer, it will protect your drive even if dropped from a fairly high height onto a hard floor. For example, the case fell out of my backpack onto a ceramic tile floor from a height of about 6 feet, and the drive was fine. I travel quite a bit, and case has provided ample protection for my external hard drive when jammed into backpacks, camera bags, suitcases and briefcases. I think its the best value for the buck that I could find (and have bought additional cases for my other portable hard drives)
