Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

Amazonbasics never fail, I purchased this for my WD drive and it was very inexpensive and rather high quality. I have also used these for GPS and they work well for travel and car use as well.

In case anybody was curious, Game boy Colors and Gameboy Pockets fit in this thing snuggly. A Gameboy Advance is a little snug but still fits.

This case works with the Western Digital My Passport 1T or 2T drive with the cable. No complaints. This case is a little shorter, but wider than the Case Logic semi hard case.

I have a rotation of three drives that i use for off-site backups of my laptop and this protects the drives and keeps the usb cable I need with them. All my USB drives are onto the wide USB 3 connector so keeping it tucked up in the same case as the drive saves me time when I do my backup vs having to search all over to find a cable I use once a month.

Its a great little case. I am able to fit more than just my hard drive in it. I am able to fit my mini display port to vga adaptor in it as well.

Perfect Fit for WD - easystore® 4TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive that I purchased from Best Buy.

This was the third case I purchased for a G-technology external drive. Even though these were claimed to fit G-tech drives, neither did. Before ordering this case, I read the user Q&As more carefully, then decided to try it. Just confirming that it really does fit the G-tech 1 gig drive I have, and would probably easily fit a 2-gig drive. (Not weighing in on whether it would fit larger drives as I would need to check the dimensions.) The case itself is nothing fancy, but is a good basic soft-sided case for those who prefer soft-sided cases. Zipper zips easily and doesnt get caught. There is ample room to store the connecting cable. I havent had this long enough to rate the durability, but so far, so good. I have a similar Amazon basic case for a slightly smaller WD drive that I purchased a few years back and it still looks like new -- so I am hoping that this one will also age well.

Works exactly as described. The build is very sturdy, although the zipper feels like a potential weak point. Overall very recommended.
