This thing runs well, and at expected temps and speed. However, the included cooler, although pretty, is louder than my PS4. Holy cow. Even at mid 60s it is running full blast and I can hear it from the other side of town it seems. Definitely investing in a quieter cooler.

I primarily purchased this as a gaming CPU for a new rig I was building- my very first attempt to build my own PC. I probably would have been fine with a 3600 or 3600X for that purpose, at least at first, but since the newest consoles will have 8 cores I wanted something that would last to account for them. I figured a 6-core CPU would probably have to be replaced within a year or two in order to keep up.

I have read reviews about this product and they are all over the place. Its not a manufacturers fault that the product is labeled incorrect, I ordered the 3800x on Black Friday and thats what I got. My goal is lite gaming and more video editing, my monitor is 60hz 4k so any extra fps are lost on me. No big deal.

Box was HEAVILY damaged, like, I thought I was buying something new. This is a major disappointment.
