> 3 dayIm upgrading from a benq GL2480, which would be a TN, 1080p, 24in monitor. Im not very knowledgeable on monitors but I had to return this monitor due to the screen randomly turning white all over while I was scrolling down a page. Reading other reviews Im wondering if its just an extreme case of backlight bleeding. But I enjoyed the screen so much that I will be trying my luck and buying another one which is why Im giving it a 3 out of 5 stars. Pros: -Speakers are a major upgrade from what I had in my prior monitor, and they are even better then the cheap amazon basic speakers if that helps anything. -I feel as though pictures really pop and colors seem so much nicer to look at when using this monitor. I tend to switch the hdri mode to display when viewing photos. -Improved brightness over my current monitor which is going from 250nits to 350nits. cons: -I would say the hdri itself isnt amazing for everything you do while being a selling point is a bit of a con. -The stand is a bit short, being able to adjust the viewing angle is nice tho. All in all I would have given this a higher score if there werent any defects, had the poor thing for a month.

> 3 dayI bought this Monitor for PC and my PS5 as I tend to hook up both. A lot of people are saying the PS5 doesnt work with it, but they are WRONG! It works amazingly well with the PS5. Yes the PS5 doesnt have 1440p resolution but your PS5 will output at 4K 60Hz as long as you use a HDMI 2.0 cable. The HDRi feature is probably the best feature for at least PS5 gaming, as I am always a person who adjusts the picture as soon as I hook it up to a console or PC. I probably played around with picture settings for 2 hours just testing it on different games for color depth, and HDRi sensor always won. Without it, colors just look washed out and not as good of contrast. The colors look even better than my Samsung QLED 4K tv The speakers are front facing and are fairly decent for built in speakers, probably the best I have ever heard out of a gaming Monitor at this price. The remote it comes with is a very welcome plus as you can navigate the menus a lot faster. People say that they hate the stand and it doesnt have height adjustment, but it is mountable so if you want height, buy a mounting arm, its that simple people.

> 3 dayThis monitor is a solid monitor. Highly recommend for next gen gaming. I use it for my PS5, and love the fact that it has 1440p. The PS5 runs games at 4K and the monitor forces it down to 1440p (although PS5 does not support it). Crystal clear at 120hz and 1080p. No regrets on this purchase, speakers are awesome as well. Well done BenQ, never fails to impress me.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor for both gaming and productivity purposes. It is definitely not worth $500 I paid for it, but I still decided to give it a shot due to its sRGB color mode. Starting with the positives, this monitor has good picture quality thanks to its relatively high contrast. The sRGB mode is accurate and does not lock the brightness unlike majority of other wide gamut monitors, which is the main reason why I bought it. Other than that, I did not have any major complaints except the stand, which only supports tilt. The design is also great, without overly flashy gaming aesthetics, which I definitely like. Now onto the main issue: the monitor I received has terrible color uniformity. I have read the reviews and I was prepared for it, but I did not expect it to be this bad. My unit has a gradient from top to bottom with white becoming yellowish towards the bottom. It also seems that the bottom of the monitor is dimmer. This is not visible in games, but extremely annoying when using a web browser. White color is inconsistent, and other solid colors undergo large change when scrolling through a web page. I understand that it is difficult to make a uniform panel, but such level of uniformity is simply unacceptable, especially at this price point. I am definitely going to refund/replace this monitor. Maybe I have got a bad unit, but there are other people who have similar issue. Too bad it is out-of-stock right now.

> 3 dayI got these to replace my old monitors and I love them! First and foremost, I love that the have speakers in them and that they are good quality! I use them for school, playing games, and media consumption. They make everything look great, and all of the different modes make it really nice to view and work on what ever you want! If you want a really good all around monitor, I dont think there is a better choice than these!

Greater than one weekBought the EX2780Q after seeing so many positive reviews and finding it can do 1440p @120hz on the Xbox One X. Pictures and online reviews simply cannot do this monitor justice. In real life, it has a incredible image quality. Ive tried numerous monitors and this is the first to give me that wow feeling. Color reproduction is incredible and it runs all of the games Ive tried thus far smooth as silk. For reference I play shooters about 95% of the time so speed is important to me. I have not tried the monitors speakers as I always use a wireless headset. I do see though where some people can have a problem with a few aspects of the monitor that dont bother me. First would be that the stand is tilt only. It sits at a perfect height for me and is very stable so not an issue for me. Secondly would be the cable management system. Im only using a single hdmi and the power cable and I dont really have much room remaining without the cover portion of the stand falling off. If you are intending on using the display port and both hdmi inputs then i honestly dont see how the cover would ever stay on. Then again if you dont care about cable management then its not a issue. I also really like the supplied remote more than I thought I would. Granted I play at a desk but its just convenient to access everything with the remote instead of using the navigation joystick on the back of the monitor. Overall i highly recommended this monitor. Its on instance where I spent over $400 for something game related and have zero issues justifying its price.

> 3 dayThis monitor has an exceptional feature set with a fantastic price to match. This isnt a purely gaming monitor nor is it purely for professional use, but its overwhelmingly very good at both. This monitor should be held as a gold standard in which all other monitors should be compared to. Every monitor in the known universe has trade offs between picture quality and gaming performance. Youll have to pick a feature set which is most important to you. The BenQ has a focuses more on image quality and color calibration over pure gaming features. If you are a professional or content creator that also like to game... well listen up, and keep reading! The BenQ EX2780Q closest competitor is the LG 27GL850G. + you can actually buy this and have it delivered to your front door... The LG is either out of stock or overpriced from most retailers. + Excellent for photoshop, video editing, CAD, programming, gaming, spread sheeting, or word processing. + One feature that is mostly overlooked... 144Hz for non-gaming tasks will make common desktop apps nicer to use. Apps will feel more fluid, scrolling through web pages, documents, and spreadsheets is buttery smooth. Even the Windows 10 interface is so fluid. So even if you dont care about gaming... you will enjoy using this monitor. + colors are phenomenal and will blow most monitors out of the water. The LG might win here, but by only a small fraction. If you are looking to upgrade from a monitor that you bought a few years ago, I can almost guarantee that your monitor wont have the 95% DCI P3 color reproduction. If you dont know what that means... well its pure awesome. + The BenQ has great contrast (1000:1). The LGs contrast isnt as good (800:1), grey scale is a touch muddy for my tastes. For most applications this wont be a big deal. The BenQs better contrast will be most helpful for photo/video editing/watching. + the BenQ is rated for 144 Hz and the LG for 165Hz again the difference between here is very minimal for most. Pro gamers will want 240Hz, but on those screens; contrast and color reproduction will suffer greatly. So if you are a pro gamer making money or want to make money by gaming, and have decided that 240Hz is the upmost important feature... the BenQ or the LG isnt for you. + the built in speakers are actually good... really good! Nice bass, good vocal response, loudness is pretty decent too. If i were to be picky... the mid-high range suffers a little. Critical listening should be performed on headphones or studio speakers anyways. If you are able to eliminate an external speaker set by using the built in monitor speakers, the amount of wires on you desk is greatly reduced. + BenQ might not have the brand recognition as maybe Samsung and LG. If this is your first BenQ, you wont be disappointed. + On screen menu system is basic, easy to understand, and yet has a comprehensive adjustments. +BenQ has packed a ton of modern features into this monitor at a great price, you will be very happy with this decision. Downsides: The monitor stand. It only tilts up and down several degrees... does not pivot, does not raise/lower, or does not rotate. It is solid and stable, and out of the box set at an average height. I recommend trying the built in stand for a while, and if it doesnt work out for you, just buy a monitor arm. Great ones can be found as little as $50. Good luck on your monitor search... mine has ended with the BenQ EX2780Q.

> 3 dayThis is so much better than the Alienware monitor it is replacing! Less hz but the color quality is absolutely amazing! For gaming the best setting I’ve found are: Game HDRi Light Tuner +1

> 3 dayI have had this now for a few months and I can say that I still love it. It’s a great “everything” monitor. It’s not the greatest of gaming monitors if you are trying to go pro, but if you watch shows and movies or do school work on it as well then this is for you. On top of all of it, the speakers on this thing need to be heard in person to believe them. Insane! These are better than most tv stock speakers. No regerts...not one letter.

> 3 dayThis is my first higher-end monitor so it is hard for me to compare it, but I am having no issues at all and am very happy overall with this monitor. Couple of things that may be noteworthy for you: * This monitor has a usb-c port and comes with a usb-c to usb-c 3.1 cable. Plugging this cable into a usb-c power port allows the picture, audio, and power to all be supplied through this one cable. HOWEVER the passthrough charge may not be enough to charge your computer during use. I am using a 2018 Macbook Pro and running resource intensive programs (Android Studio) and the battery percentage drain is significant. * The sound on this monitor is surprisingly good. It cannot contend with mid-level dedicated speakers, but it is pretty solid. I like a clean desk so I am using just this monitor for sound (plus headphones for longer music-related sessions) and am very happy so far.
