> 3 dayJust so people know, the 1440p 144z style monitor does not come with a displayport cable. You paid for 144hz and to get that, you will need a displayport cable. It is in poor taste that BenQ does not include one in the box.

> 3 dayI love this monitor. I have had high end Asus models before that I also loved but found the color a bit washed out. They were great for gaming, but I wanted something that was great for gaming and could be a second display in the living room for sports or games. This monitor nails that. The color on this monitor is incredible. The blacks are way deeper than I expected. By comparison, the colors out of the box and the deep ness of the blacks are way better than my 70” 4K Vizio M series tv. Other things I really enjoyed -Freesync over HDMI - I play on both PC and XBOX one - This monitor does freesync on both and looks smooth as can be in both scenarios -2k resolution works with PS4 Pro - PS4 Pro doesnt support 2k resolution and many monitors look terrible when converting from 4K to 2k or 1080 to 2k. This one looks great. Very surprised -USBC video display port with PD to hook up my MacBook and charge concurrently. -The speakers are surprisingly good. Most of the time I use a gaming headset so its a bit of a waste for me but something to consider if you dont use a headset. You could certainly use these without external speakers and save some money that way -The remote is something I didnt think was necessary, but after having it, I wish all monitors had one. Things I didnt enjoy as much -HDRi - I dont know that this features works as I was expecting. I dont see a huge difference between the different modes and maybe I am not running it correctly, but I dont notice it

> 3 dayGot this to upgrade my gaming fun. Really like it and it measured up to all graphic expectations. The speakers are not as great as many reviews might have you think but any gamer spending this kinda money on a monitor is using headphones anyways. I’d buy again!

> 3 dayThis monitor is great. Dont hesitate to buy it. Long review : So I wanted something for gaming on my newly built PC running I7 9700k processor and a 2060 Super. I realized 4k I would love to have but for the price its not worth it. My graphics card is going to do 1440 just fine and this is the reason I got it. I didnt need a crazy fancy 1ms lag monitor. I just wanted something thats great Refresh and decent 1-10ms. I also wanted dual monitor which is the reason I bought a 24 Dell Gaming Monitor S2417DG. It was TN that had bad viewing angles. Figured do I really care? When am I going to be viewing the monitor from the side. Really not a big deal. Fast response time with 1ms and 165hz Refresh rate and under $300. Awesome Deal. For a casual gamer that does play Call of duty and fast paced games the response time was great. However the picture quality was not. The best way to describe it is that it appears as if the brightness is turned up all the way. It has that haze look. First of all I thought 27 is HUGE no way to run dual monitors so I got 24 dell and I just cant play on it. It runs great but going from Sony 930e TV to Dell monitor the colors are not even close. Every setting I tried changing going online and it look good but it did not look great. I bought a monitor that I want to play on not one that looks okay. So for $150 more I went with the BenQ with all these wonderful reviews. Now if your budget and need a good priced monitor that dell is awesome and you wont find better for the specs. It wasnt horrible. I liked it alot just Im about the best of the best always. BenQ was it worth it? So worth it. I now have not played on my TV a single time since getting this monitor. The colors are great the response time is fast and trust 144hz makes a huge difference coming from 60. Everything feels ridiculously smooth. Just moving windows around in a circle I am just amazed. Its awesome. Color is accurate I loved not having to adjust anything it came out of box looking great. Only thing I changed was color mode to Gamer 2. I like the extra pop of color especially when playing. I cant stress enough you pay for what you get. Also 27 is a perfect size its not that big and this is coming from someone thats going to run dual monitors. G-sync compatible. Yes confirmed this is. Even if it doesnt specifically say so it is. And also confirmed that I was able to enable it. Response time yes I can barely tell the dell felt a little faster but not at all worth losing all the color quality. I feel like you just cant enjoy a game without it looking amazing. Connections: Big deal for me. I run a TV through hdmi and 2 monitors. So I love that BenQ has all 3 options. Even if I want to play on my ps4 it will work! Which is great. To clear some things up because I heard inaccurate information from YouTube reviews. HDR, Gsync, Refresh rate will WORK on TYPE C, hdmi, and Display. Yes I can confirm it works on all three because I tried on all three. People online said gsync only works on display and HDR only works on HDMI. This is a lie. I confirmed not the case. Of course you need the correct cables. But it will work. Currently using type C and I love it. Also was able to use Type C cable for my gf mac on this monitor and it works great! If your coming from a TV with 50-100ms lag. Going to a 5 ms lag is going to be a huge difference. You will not be disappointed. HDR yea the reviews are right HDR is meh I mean for call of duty it was whatever kinda got darker I like bright so disabled. However what they didnt say is I believe is made better for Videos. Because i downloaded a full quality HDR 4k demo video and WOW HDR looks amazing. Its so nice that I wouldnt be able to tell difference between my TV and monitor it looks that good. So for that I can say HDR works great! For gaming though I would say leave off but its not bad so try it see if you like it. Also HDR-I is okay but same thing wouldnt use no need to. ALSO Love having a remote to change settings on the fly. Very convinent. Speakers Okay so many people overhyped them :l So are they amazing?! No theyre not. They dont get super loud or sound crystal clear. However do they sound good? Yes! There great and work better than any other monitor speakers. Can definitely say I will be using this as my dedicated speakers. There is no more need to buy external speakers. They will work for YouTube and basic needs. But dont think this will be insanely good. I do love the. though. Overall I am so happy with this monitor and I got to say. Its worth the extra money. Save up never settle. Your forever going to say if only I spent a little more I wouldve got better monitor. Dont find yourself there get the BenQ! I also was skeptical btw because so many reviews said all these people were paid for reviewing on YouTube. I dont doubt it but hey Im honest reviewer and can tell you the reviews are for the most part accurate. I left this review because I wish I knew that HDR and G-sync work through type C. So thought Id share everything else ☺.

> 3 dayI like the monitor, dead pixel after 2 months of ownership is not cool though. Expected more from BenQ. The speakers are also mid as hell and peak way too early. Disappointed for sure

> 3 dayGreat for gaming on Xbox One X. Monitor is advertised as 1440p max but it actually does 4K 60fps. Gamer 3 picture profile + Game HDR gives best image vibrancy/punch.

> 3 dayWould be a very nice monitor if it didnt have so much backlight bleed. We bought two of these and both of them have backlight bleed in the bottom left corner straight out of the box. Expected better quality from a $450 monitor. Update: A week later and backlight bleed has spread across the bottom of the screen, and is also now visible on both the left and right hand sides of the screen. Dark scenes look terrible and immediate draw the attention of your eyes to the backlight.

> 3 dayVery happy with this monitor. The picture quality is incredible. No dead pixels or anything of the sort. Speakers arent bad either for a monitor. This is third BenQ monitor and they have consistently impressed me with their product quality. Would highly recommend.

> 3 dayThe most remarkable thing about this monitor is that it has a a remote. The TLDR version of this review is that BenQ is using an obscure or new remote code to control this monitor that you most likely won’t find is compatible with your universal remote. This is a huge fail on the part of BenQ since the only reason you’d want a remote is to control the monitor remotely while using a different device (presumably with its own remote). I also own a 4K ASUS monitor in the same price range and it’s per much exactly the same (but a little cheaper). So if we’re being honest here, the only thing that sets this monitor apart is a feature rendered largely useless in practical application. I bought it as a second monitor that could be used as a dual display or, when hooked up to my Roku, act as a 4K TV. The Roku universal remote for the Roku Stick+ has both IR and Bluetooth. It also is programmable with an insane amount of codes, including 12 remote codes for BenQ TVs. Yes, that’s right, they didn’t use one of these existing codes and opted to use an obscure or new one. Since the stick is behind the display, you’ll need to control it via Bluetooth and I know of no “learning” universals that come with that capability. Sometimes remote codes used by a different manufacturer will work but I have‘my found any and I’ve spent over an hour trying every name brand you’ve likely heard and some you haven’t.
