> 24 hourWe have had several car vacuums that under performed. We use a roomba to pick up pet hair, it gets most but there is always some left. We follow with vacuum with the nozzle extended to pick up the rest plus anything else that may be on the floors. It does a excellent job. It is easy to clean and comes with clear instructions.

> 24 hourToday is May 13, 2020. We got this vacuum on Jan 19th. Im not sure that Amazon will allow specific pricing in reviews. I went to order one to set to our daughter, and in that time the price went up ***40%***!!!! We didnt get any special prices and that was the every day rate... at least at the time. Is it worth what we paid for it then? Absolutely. Would we buy it at this price? Absolutely not. Our daughter will just have to use a broom and dust pan for awhile longer until the price comes back to the stratosphere. We received this hand vac yesterday and wanted to share my first impressions. When we received the B+D 20v vac it arrived in a non-descript box. On the outside was the ORMD (hazmat) lable, but no fancy box as one might expect. The HAZMAT warning is because of the Li Ion battery Im sure. Very basic packaging with basic instructions. The first impression was like a youd expect with a direct from China product. The operation was fairly intuitive, but a little confusing, but I figured things out reasonably quickly. I did have to refer to the manual. You have to push the button on the handle to open the nozzle and change angle. The crevice tool was easy to find, but I had to figure out how to push it back into the main nozzle. And yet when I actually used the crevice took, it collapsed at first on its own. The way the vac sits on the charging dock is unique. It sits kind of side-saddle. And while you can feel it click in to its position, it doesnt really self-glide. You have to make sure it seats, especially if you mount the charging dock. FWIW, the charger is a 24v charger, but light weight and hard wired into the dock. While the vac unit itself seems relatively sturdy, the charging dock feels like it could be the weak link to the system. If it ever dies your whole unit is dead in the water unless you can rewire a new transformer into the system. First use: It did a fairly good job of cleaning the crumbs on my kitchen floor. I found it very handy in many areas. The foldable nozzle is a nice design feature. My daughter has a 12v B+D vac, but honestly I dont think the 20v unit picks up any better than her 12v, sold for about $55. The one she has doesnt fold, so takes up more space when not in use. One of the features I really like (so far) on our unit is the door on the side of the unit to open for cleaning. Just flip open the door and turn the unit sideways in to the trash. I think that is one feature that separates it from the other choices where the unit has to come apart to dump the dirt collection. It takes only 5 or 10 seconds to open, dump and reclose. Its so easy that you wont hesitate to dump the dirt every time you use it, even for just a few seconds. What I wish it had: A removable battery and separate charger for batteries. One of the other candidates for consideration were one of two Ryobi 18v systems. The one Ryobi unit that came as tool only seemed bulky and the evercharge variation had a charger that seemed to want to be mounted on a wall. THE B+D can be mounted on a wall, but can also sit on a countertop. So while the lack of a separate battery was a con, being able to sit it on a counter or shelf (near an outlet) allows it to be moved to different areas for charging, not limited to mounting in one stationary location. The question not yet answered (for us) is; Will the unit hold up? Im told that B+D customer service is lacking and Amazon only guarantees the products for a limited time. I took a chance because I couldnt find a design that I liked better and any choice had its compromises. I will edit this review if circumstances change and/or I get more experience with this vacuum unit. Based on the above, it might be worth considering if it is in your price range for such a device.

> 24 hourThis hand vac was ranked best by a NYTs article and another best hand vacs of 2023 article. The one minus mentioned was the small cup capacity. What was not mentioned was that the area between where the nozzle dumps into the cup will clog if you pick up ANYTHING other than dust. You then have to stick your fingers into the cup and drag out the debris making sure you get it out of the nozzle where it gets stuck. In my case it is dog hair from a 10 lb doxie (not a lot of shedding) so if you have any pet that is a heavy shedder this will not be the hand vac for you. If you are picking up fine dust the suction is great.

> 24 hourWe used this hand vac daily for 3 years. Its a great little vacuum - really picks up dirt, dust and debris. But after 3 years, the battery is getting weak and it now runs only for a couple of minutes before being unusable. Its very easy to get to the battery pack: remove the vac barrel; remove two screws from the case: slip off the side cover; slip the battery out of the case; disconnect the quick disconnect; and, its ready for a replacement battery pack. Except that there are no replacement battery packs! The battery part number is 515LPFC, but B+D doesnt carry them, nor does Amazon nor any of the parts houses. The battery pack case can easily be opened to reveal a circuit board and 5 battery cells. But the battery cells are welded onto their connectors, so they cannot easily be removed, and they are completely covered by the case so that any identifying marks are hidden. It may be possible to break the welds on the batteries, but it will take more than a soldering iron to do so. Without any means to replace the failing battery, that means that the entire unit must be discarded. I give 5 stars for the vacuum, but only 1 star for the unavailability of replacement batteries, so that averages out to 3 stars.

> 24 hourThis vacuum has plenty of power and is very easy to use. the only negative is the parts availability is limited. Still a great value. This vacuum is used a lot, 3 or 4 times a day. Have purchased 3 vacuums over 13 years 2 are still being used.

> 24 hourWe were hoping that Black+Decker would come out with a Lithium-ion vacuum to replace the Ni-cad fold-able vacuum, which weve had two of and loved them. The only downside of the older version was battery life. This vacuum has more suction than the Ni-cad version. It feels smoother operating (folding, and emptying) than the older version The battery should hold up much better We are very pleased with this Vacuum! The only negative I have is why in the world would a great product ship with flat-head screws instead of Phillips screws!

> 24 hourThis handheld vacuum is a compact and versatile option for anyone in need of a handheld vacuum. While it does have some positive features, it also has some drawbacks to consider. On the positive side, this handheld vacuum is lightweight and easy to maneuver, making it great for quick cleanups around the house or in the car. It also has a strong suction power that does a decent job of picking up small debris like crumbs, pet hair, and dust. The crevice tool and brush attachment are also handy for reaching tight spaces and upholstery. However, the battery life is not great. It only lasts for around 10-15 minutes on a single charge, which may not be enough for larger cleaning tasks. Additionally, the dustbin is small and needs to be emptied frequently, which can be inconvenient. Another issue with this handheld vacuum is the noise level. It is quite loud, which can be irritating if you need to use it for an extended period of time. This vacuum is a decent option for small cleanups: The strong suction power and handy attachments are positives, but the short battery life and loud noise level may be a dealbreaker for some users.

> 24 hourThis is a little bit heavy, but it has good suction power, is easy to to use, and has extra tools to use on nice surfaces and in crevices. A good buy!

> 24 hourThis has incredible suction. Best I have seen in a hand vac. This items problems lie in the design. Specifically in servicing the filter. From factory the filter was EXTREMely hard to remove the first time. It was so tight into its locked in position we thought it was defective. Finally broke it loose but then the filter wanted to un seat when you rotated the pivot point. Had two vacs both the same. This was annoying enough I sent them both back reluctantly because when assembled an in use it was super powerful. Purchased a shark CH901 as replacement and they are wonderful!
